A spokesperson of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire, a unit of Tokio Marine Holdings (8766.T), confirmed that the three companies formed a strategic partnership with Sierra, but declined to elaborate on their investments. Sierra Space, spun off in 20221 from billionaire-owned Sierra Nevada Corp, is among a handful of space industry players attempting to build a private space station that NASA hopes will replace the two decade-old International Space Station by 2030. As a result of a contract agreement with the Teamsters union that was ratified in August, seasonal workers' pay will start between $21 and $23 per hour, depending on the position. The Teamsters deal with UPS comes as workers from pilots to aerospace manufacturing employees have pushed for and won higher pay. Nearly 80% of the company's seasonal positions do not require an interview, UPS said in the release. The carrier hired the same number of seasonal workers in 2022.

It's time to move to the sidelines on Boeing as short-term headwinds pile up, according to CFRA. The firm downgraded the aircraft maker to hold from buy on Thursday and lowered its 12-month price target to $210 from $253. Analyst Stewart Glickman said the cuts are warranted "by a litany of quality control issues across the aerospace industry. The downgrade comes a month after Boeing said a new manufacturing flaw on its 737 Max jet will delay deliveries of the strong-selling aircraft.
