Cheng also assembled a team of 10 directors, each responsible for an episode in “Zero Day” that tells an independent story. In “Zero Day,” Chinese infiltration and cognitive warfare takes on many forms – from the lure of money and power to the threat of violence.

After a while, I began to wonder how and when things were supposed to change now that I had a partner. I had been independent for so long before I met my husband that I had gotten used to doing everything on my own. So, I asked a close girlfriend what she and her husband did as far as the housework went. I asked her how they decided, and she said that if there was something she really didn't enjoy doing, then she would ask if her husband minded doing that and vice versa. I really love my husband, and I didn't want to harbor feelings of resentment over things like chores around the house.

A hurricane warning was in effect for sections of the state's coast with tropical storm warnings for the Florida Keys. Debby is the fourth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season after Tropical Storm Alberto, Hurricane Beryl and Tropical Storm Chris, all of which formed in June. We're doing everything that we need to be prepared to face a tropical storm," Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said. "We've been in Florida our whole lives, in South Florida, so hurricanes are not really a big, big thing," Silverman said.

CNN —Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff acknowledged Saturday in a statement to CNN that he had an affair during his first marriage after the alleged details of the relationship were published by a British tabloid. “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. The statement comes after the Daily Mail reported that Emhoff had a relationship with one of his then-young daughter’s teachers, which resulted in the end of his first marriage. The person also said that Emhoff had told Harris about the affair well before they got married. Doug Emhoff married Harris in 2014, when he was working as an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles and she was California attorney general.

To the Editor:Re “Liberal ‘White Dudes’ Are Rallying for Harris” (news article, July 31):Wait, are we really allowed to smile? But now, with the weight of President Biden’s candidacy off our shoulders, we are almost giddy. No longer merely responding to Donald Trump’s taunts, but letting go with a zinger or two of our own. No longer just wringing our hands and holding our heads, but throwing punches and taking selfies. But it does feel awfully nice to be, dare I say it, almost happy with the way things are going.

Sweaty startups are blue-collar businesses, often in unglamorous or laborious fields like septic services, car washes, or lawn care. It's what your grandparents would've just called a small business, but it was a tongue-in-cheek answer to the Silicon Valley-style entrepreneurship being glorified in culture at that time. Still, some small businesses look to private equity to scale their businesses in different markets, even if that means overhauling operations in some cases. "Small businesses partner with private-equity firms because they provide access to capital and organizational support to help companies grow," Drew Maloney, the council's president and CEO, told BI. “There’s a lot of mistrust going on there.”As fire behavior grows intense because of climate change and overgrown forests, doubts can fester in rural communities as fire managers operate more conservatively than in the past. “Now, we’re seeing fires act more radically, make their own weather and be more unpredictable.”This dynamic is playing out in rural communities elsewhere. Stasiewicz said that based on her own focus groups, surveys and interviews, sentiments like Courtney’s are becoming more common in rural communities. Evacuation often carries a stiff financial cost, she said, and some rural residents worry their properties won’t be prioritized. “We can sometimes see rural communities lose compared to more developed areas.

Nvidia stock prices have more than doubled since the start of the year, and in June, it briefly became the world's most valuable company. "The boom in spending on AI infrastructure has been a major growth driver for the chip industry," Miller said. Zuckerberg even touted Meta's growing stockpile of Nvidia chips in an interview with The Verge in January, adding that he expects the company to own more than 340,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs by the end of 2024. The boom in data center builds has also spurred significant chip demand. Amazon, Meta, and Google are all designing their own AI chips.
