In a Thursday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, GE Healthcare CEO Peter Arduini said a lot of his company's research and development efforts are focused on artificial intelligence. Arduini went through several ways AI can enhance health-care workers' productivity, including technology that makes patient data more cohesive. He added that GE Healthcare's R&D investments over the past year created a pipeline of 40 new products that will have a "flywheel effect" on the business. Arduini also reflected on GE Healthcare's first year as an independent company from GE, saying that independence enabled progress. We have a very focused board, we have people coming to us that really are dedicated to health care," he said.

The campaign aides plan to discuss their general election message and outlook for the year, as well as ongoing mobilization efforts. “Together, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and House Democrats have delivered on a historic agenda for the American people,” Rodriguez said ahead of the meeting. Since Trump romped to resounding victories in the Iowa and New Hampshire contests last month, the Biden campaign has effectively acted as if the general election race with Trump has already started. The March engagement plan will help fortify a campaign operation and grassroots network for Biden and House Democrats that they will further ramp up as they work to persuade voters later this year. House Democrats are in the northern Virginia town, about 30 miles from Washington, for their annual retreat.

For family bedtime reading, we just started “Julie of the Wolves” by Jean Craighead George. Mostly I try to write books that I would enjoy reading myself. But more than a decade into this career, I would still rather spend my time writing than doing just about anything else. It has a lot to do with perspective, which is something we can cultivate if we’re intentional about it. Piecing together a bunch of random scenes until they become one coherent story, like building a complicated jigsaw puzzle.

The palace's disclosure that King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer shattered that longstanding tradition. “The King has cancer,” the Times of London declared in a terse banner headline Tuesday. But in beaming a sliver of light from inside the palace walls and his own life, Charles has broken with his mother and royal tradition. HOW MUCH DOES THE BRITISH PUBLIC HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW? Charles' news was received with great sympathy in a country in which 3 million people live with cancer, according to Macmillan Cancer Support, a London-based charity.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden is sending several senior aides to Michigan to meet with Arab American and Muslim leaders, according to three people familiar with the matter, as his administration's handling of the Israel-Hamas war frustrates members of a key constituency in a 2024 battleground state. Also expected to attend are Tom Perez, who leads the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, as well as Mazen Basrawi, the White House liaison to American Muslim communities, and aides Jamie Citron and Dan Koh. Siblani was one of the few Arab American leaders to meet with Rodriguez when she visited Dearborn at the end of January. The White House says administration officials have been in regular contact with Muslim and Arab American leaders in Michigan and across the country. He did not meet with Arab American and Muslim community members.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday reminded investors that not all market moves are sensible, pointing to recent actions that he believes reflect faulty reasoning. To Cramer, Wall Street's treatment of Apple stock hasn't been wise. Cramer has long thought investors should own Apple, and said saw the value of the new virtual reality product before its official release. But Eli Lilly 's action has especially puzzled Cramer. The pharmaceutical giant announced on Tuesday its popular drug for weight loss and diabetes may also treat liver ailments.

CNN —A robocall that used an AI voice resembling President Joe Biden’s to advise New Hampshire voters against voting in the state’s presidential primary has been linked to a pair of Texas-based telecommunications companies, the state’s attorney general announced on Tuesday. New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, in a news conference on Tuesday, said the source of the calls were linked to two businesses: Life Corporation and Lingo Telecom. Formella identified Walter Monk as the owner of Life Corporation. CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday suggested that sellers have been conspicuously absent on Wall Street, even as the market faces economic trends may have brought them out in years past. "Last year, we would've had sellers coming out of the woodwork," he said. "Now, though, I think the short-sellers have been obliterated, and almost everyone who wants to sell seems to have already gotten out. Cramer added that the artificial intelligence craze has not played out as many on Wall Street thought it would. Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol told CNBC's Jim Cramer that the company plans to double its current number of locations. "We really do believe we can double the restaurant count to 7,000," Niccol said. "We view it as a conservative number, and we view it as something that's very feasible in the long term." Niccol attributed the successful quarter to the company's ability to produce quality food while keeping lines in the restaurants moving quickly. "So, we keep a really close eye on that, and I think you're seeing that in our transactions as a result of it."

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday told investors why it's hard to generalize about consumer behavior, saying that as inflation continues, there's a stark divide between cash-strapped consumers and ones that are flush. "High rates may not be helping, but they aren't hurting yet either, right now at least," he said. "In the meantime, we've got a bifurcated consumer in this country, and until you understand that, nothing in this market will make sense at all, let alone the inequality that comes with it." Cramer took McDonald's mixed earnings report as an example of the consumer divide. The fast-food giant's CEO Chris Kempczinski discussed how the low-income consumer cohort is a "battle ground" as many trade down to deal with higher costs.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday unpacked Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's comments on inflation, saying that even though it's unclear when rates will come down, there is money to be made in the interim. He encouraged investors to buy stocks and not just keep money in lower-risk investments. "I'm beginning to believe that the biggest money will be made between this period where the Fed's holding pat and the moment where we get the first rate cuts," Cramer said. After the Federal Reserve's meeting last week, Powell said the central bank would cut rates sometime this year, but not likely in March, when many on Wall Street expected. Cramer conceded that some investors think stocks are a reckless option until the Fed starts cutting.

Nearly half of all flash flood deaths are vehicle-related, experts say, which is why you should never drive into a flooded street. Here’s what to do in advance — and in the moment — to get through a flash flood safely. A “flash flood warning” means a flash flood is imminent or already occurring, and you should immediately move to higher ground if you’re outside or in a basement apartment. The most dire alert is a “flash flood emergency,” which indicates that not only is flooding occurring, but it’s posing a severe threat to human life. “People need to realize that most people who lose their footing in a flash flood don’t get out,” she said.

Note that prices can vary between Costco stores, and that in-store prices tend to be cheaper than what's found online. You also need an annual membership to shop at Costco stores, which can factor into how much you save. Ramhold recommends the four-pound package of Kirkland Signature Premium Sliced Bacon, which can be found for $15.29, she says. Costco's gas prices tend to be cheaper than what you'll find at nearby gas stations. “China is one of the fastest-aging countries in the world and is one of the most important countries in the area of Alzheimer’s disease for Eisai,” a company spokesperson said. “The potential growth for Leqembi in China is huge.”Eli Lilly, which is developing a similar treatment called donanemab, told Reuters it has filed for approval in China. The Indianapolis-based company is now testing its drug in a 1,500-person trial with volunteers in China, Taiwan, South Korea and the EU, a spokesperson said. Leqembi, which works by removing a toxic protein called beta amyloid from the brain, is the first Alzheimer's treatment proven to alter the course of the fatal, brain-wasting disease. Once on treatment, suitable patients undergo a series of MRI scans to monitor for potentially fatal swelling and bleeding in the brain.

Even though the IPO market is heating up, CNBC's Jim Cramer said he thinks it's been "hit or miss" so far. He told investors not to buy Amer Sports, which debuted Thursday at a discount, saying the company has a poor balance sheet. "And, I've got to tell you, Amer Sports is a great example of the kind of deals I wish we weren't seeing." Saddled with $2.1 billion in debt, Amer Sports has a balance sheet that is "less than ideal," according to Cramer. Cramer conceded that Amer Sports has seen decent growth over the last few years, but much of that growth came from sales in China.
