Tom Lee, Fundstrat's head of research, said in an Oct. 17 note to clients that the firm is opening a six-month "tactical overweight" on the homebuilding sector. The six-month timeline counts on a strong seasonal pattern where homebuilders tend to rally from late October to late April. While the reason for the historical trend is not clear, the fact that it currently coincides with a rate-cutting cycle for the Federal Reserve should lend homebuilders' stocks even more support, Lee said. "The Fed is cutting interest rates, at a time when U.S. housing has been in a recession. The sector exchange-traded funds highlighted by Lee include the iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF (ITB) , the SPDR S & P Homebuilders ETF (XHB) and the Invesco Building & Construction ETF (PKB) .

CNN —Despite Angel Reese being one of the major factors in the WNBA’s surge in popularity this season, alongside rival Caitlin Clark, the Chicago Sky star said that her rookie salary doesn’t cover her rent. Speaking on an Instagram live on Wednesday, Reese said her monthly rent is $8,000 – totaling $96,000 for the year – while her WNBA salary was $73,439. “I just hope y’all know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. Reese – a rebounding and double-double machine – enjoyed a record-breaking rookie season, which was cut short by a wrist injury at the start of September. Reese told ESPN earlier this year that her WNBA salary is a “bonus” on top of her NIL deals.

Cancer drains individuals of their physical, emotional, and financial health. In a study from the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, nearly half of cancer patients and survivors reported being extraordinarily burdened by medical debt. Financial hardship caused by cancer can also contribute to "financial toxicity," wherein the cost of treatment forces individuals to make tradeoffs that impact their chances of survival. Not only does financial toxicity of cancer care affect the individual, it can also negatively impact their employer. Some may not be aware they're eligible for screening, and stigma and fear associated with cancer screening hinders some people from seeking care.

This ability to get electricity from one part of the country to another is ever more important as America’s grid is lashed by increasingly extreme weather. Extreme weather isn’t the only reason the grid needs to expand. “We run a VHS grid for a Hulu economy.”America’s grid is actually three grids: the Eastern and Western interconnections, plus the independent Texas grid. The physical electrical lines connecting all of the systems are fragile and outdated, experts told CNN.
