Focus on nature and each otherThe key to making kids campers is to let them be a part of the journey and have interesting things for them to look forward to. Yes, making kids campers is tough initially, but it gets better with age — the kids' ages, not the parents'.

SeongJoon Cho/Bloomberg via Getty ImagesThe U.S. Federal Reserve may start cutting interest rates before year's end. How interest rates impact the U.S. dollarIn reality, the dynamics driving dollar fluctuations are more complex than whether the Fed raises or lowers interest rates. The European Central Bank cut interest rates in June, for example. This is happening against the backdrop of a relatively strong U.S. economy, which also generally supports a strong dollar, Petersen said. For example, investors generally get a better return on cash when interest rates are high.

More older Americans are heading toward retirement with little to no savings, and the situation is increasingly income-stratified. An AARP survey found that just around a fifth of American adults 50 and older have no retirement savings. AdvertisementAt the same time, there's a growing income disparity between retirement savings. And, except for the richest Americans, retirement balances didn't have any "detectable differences" during that same period — suggesting that only the highest-earning retirees were saving up more. I was there most of my life, except for the two years I spent in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey. Jersey City — nicknamed New York's Sixth Borough by some — has also become one of the most expensive US cities to live in. I dealt with a deteriorating relationship with my live-in boyfriend; a prestigious, high-pressure public health job I dreaded showing up for every day; and the death of a close friend. I signed up for the course and, that summer, quit my job to focus on decluttering full time. Finding satisfaction and freedom in work that 'sparks more joy'Emotionally, I knew that leaving my public health job was the right decision. In my first year of business, I earned less than a quarter of my public health salary. I consulted on public health assignments, and even temporarily took another full-time public health job while I continued building the decluttering business on evenings and weekends.

Business Insider has learned that those annotators focus their efforts on two high-profile categories of drivers: Tesla CEO Elon Musk and a select set of "VIP" drivers. These drivers are internally referred to as "VIP" users and their data is at times put in VIP queues, according to the workers. Brands have turned away from relying solely on Meta and are using many different platforms to acquire new customers, including relatively new channels like TikTok. Measured's data shows that Snap is the cheapest channel for brands to acquire customers. On TikTok, it costs brands $139.58 to acquire a customer, while Meta nets out to $83.16. Forty-seven percent of advertisers bought TikTok ads, and 5% of brands invested in Reddit ads to find customers. AdvertisementWhile Meta, Pinterest, and TikTok get more of Measured's clients to spend, the data suggests that Snap could be an overlooked channel for brands, as it has low acquisition costs.

'Stay away from shorts'There has been a shift in recent years away from strict dress codes, Swann says. On the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, for example, jeans, shorts and other casual wear are still prohibited for personnel and guests. At every job I've had, though, (mainly in media and always based in New York), the dress codes have been way looser. My high school has even adopted a more casual dress code — abandoning the daily tie requirement and allowing sneakers — in recent years. Even if the shorts are dressier or have longer inseams, Swann says they may be perceived as unprofessional in many work environments.

Their father knew I didn't want anyone to know because I'd avoided telling him my age when we got together. I've heard people claim that lying about age is a huge red flag because it means you'll lie about other things too. That's the only thing I lie about in all my relationships, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. "Age gracefully" is shorthand for "don't look older but also don't try not to." Far worse than my evasion or lie is how people, especially men, don't respect my privacy or boundaries even though I don't ask or care about their age.
