Online platforms reflect a growing demand for menopause care like hormone-replacement therapy. These studies aim to develop a better understanding of women's menopause symptoms like depression, insomnia, and hot flashes, with the goal of developing more helpful treatments. To further address the need for perimenopause and menopause research and medical care, Congress introduced in May the bipartisan Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women's Health Act. After roughly a year of treatment for her menopause symptoms, Miller is flourishing. "I'm getting my doctorate in higher educational administration, and I would have never been able to navigate such an enormous responsibility without menopause care," Miller said.

Here's a rapid-fire update on all 32 stocks in Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust, the portfolio we use for the CNBC Investing Club. AMD shares have caught a bid in recent days, but they're still cheap considering the growth of its AI processors. Broadcom : Investors who don't own any Broadcom yet should consider starting a position here, Jim said. Although it's tempting to offload shares, Jim said to stick with Honeywell for now because there's huge value in individual businesses like aerospace. Casanova's view is shared by other experts who have said that both the Republican and the Democratic presidential nominees — Donald Trump and Kamala Harris — will remain tough on China. U.S. trade ties with China will remain tense no matter who wins the election in November, according to Carlos Casanova, senior economist at Swiss private bank UBP. Stronger tariffs by Harris cannot be ruled out either, given Biden not only retained Trump's tariffs, he piled on more. During the debate, Harris did not give specifics on her China policy, but said that "a policy about China should be in making sure the United States of America wins the competition for the 21st century." So it doesn't matter who wins the election," Casanova told CNBC's "Squawk Box Asia."

Mortgage rates fall to lowest level since February 2023

Washington CNN —Mortgage rates fell this week to the lowest point since February 2023, in a welcome sign for Americans grappling with a tough housing market. The standard, 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.20% in the week ended September 12, mortgage financing giant Freddie Mac said Thursday. Mortgage rates started to drop early last month on news affirming lower interest rates in the future, specifically after a weaker-than-expected jobs report for July, and have gradually edged lower since. “Mortgage rates have fallen more than half a percent over the last six weeks and are at their lowest level since February 2023,” Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist, said in a release. The Fed doesn’t directly set mortgage rates, but its action do influence them through movements in bond yields.

Following Donald Trump’s lead, Johnson has tied a six-month funding bill to the SAVE Act, which would overhaul voting laws to require people to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Democrats and some Republicans are pushing for a “clean” funding bill that would keep the government open until December, after the election. The government will shut down at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 1 unless Republicans and Democrats strike a deal to extend funding. Because of their miniscule majority, House Republicans can only afford four GOP defections if all lawmakers vote. “I’m a firm NO on bankrupting the nation and a YES on election integrity,” Mills said.

PHILADELPHIA — Former President Donald Trump found out Tuesday night that he's got a much tougher rival on his hands now. Harris, eager to portray herself as different from both Trump and Biden, reminded him that Biden won't be on the ballot. Trump said Harris has had 3½ years to make the changes she promises to make and argued the Biden-Harris administration squandered progress Trump gave them. Trump and Harris also clashed over the 2020 election, with Trump again falsely claiming that he won. Throughout the debate, Harris needled Trump in ways that undermined his self-image as a popular, strong leader whom American’s adversaries fear.

Last month, the American Red Cross declared an emergency blood shortage after its national supply fell by more than 25% in July. Shortages can be dire for patients since doctors have to make tough decisions about who needs blood transfusions the most. McConnell is CEO of a four-year-old startup called Safi Biotherapeutics, which is working to manufacture inexpensive red blood cells at scale. Scientists have already discovered how to grow red blood cells from stem cells, but it's a costly and complex process that typically yields small amounts at a time. Safi's goal is to build on these advancements and produce large quantities of blood that could eventually be used commercially to help care for patients and avoid blood shortages.
