“They tend to close in these neighborhoods regardless of whether or not there is another pharmacy nearby,” Qato said. Closings can create so-called “pharmacy deserts,” or neighborhoods without easy access to a drugstore. “It’ll kind of worsen the problem of pharmacy deserts and disparities in pharmacy access,” Qato said. She noted that patients who lose drugstore access are less likely to stay on their regular prescriptions, and that can affect their health. Jonas said drugstores do want to help with pharmacy access, but the economics still need to work for these companies.

For the first time in a long time, tech workers are in a funk. This rare combination of generous compensation and a reasonable work-life balance kept tech workers happier than employees in other industries. Economy wide, there were on average 6.6 front-line workers per manager in 2018 and 2019, but post-pandemic, the ratio dropped to 6 to 1. It's possible that as tech companies have grown into more complex organizations, more management layers are necessary. Fundamentally, it's about listening to and elevating the voices of front-line employees.

"Beyond Utopia" attracted interest at Sundance from streamers like Amazon's Prime Video and Netflix. Interest peaked four years ago at the Sundance Film Festival, fueled by Amazon and Netflix, which paid a record $10 million for the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doc "Knock Down the House." In the crime realm, WME advised, Netflix was seeking films based on big, well-known cases and scams like "Dahmer" and "Tinder Swindler." Filmmakers point to streamers' self-censorship and 'cold feet' over sensitive topicsSome filmmakers said there are still champions at the streamers for documentaries that push the envelope. "Beyond Utopia" is among a number of recent films that have been snubbed by the big streamers, despite winning awards and buzz.

His advisers want to lock in a blowout that discourages talk of a second-place finisher consolidating support and taking on the former president directly. A traditional measure of campaign organization in Iowa is the caucus pledge card. After Trump’s second-place 2016 finish behind Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, a ragtag effort of big crowds but little organization, state GOP staffers cleaned out his caucus campaign office to find thousands of signed pledge cards that had never been logged. Trump plans to headline a central Iowa caucus organizing event in booming Dallas County, west of Des Moines, and a speaking event in the city's GOP-leaning western suburbs on Monday. 2 person, assuming Trump wins Iowa, is important, and how far apart the second-place person, assuming it’s not Trump, and the rest of the field is also important," he said.

The agreement currently applies to some 3,900 children separated from their parents during Trump's presidency from 2017-2021, according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which represents separated families in a lawsuit first filed in 2018. An estimated 500-1,000 children remain separated and the number covered by the settlement will likely expand, the ACLU said. Trump, the frontrunner to become the Republican nominee for president in 2024, has criticized Biden's handling of border security and pledged to implement hardline immigration policies if reelected. As part of the settlement, separated families will have access to temporary housing support for one year, according to court documents. The Biden administration in 2021 broke off class-wide settlement talks that would have provided monetary compensation to separated families.

I really do,” Lake told an adoring crowd of Michigan Republicans gathering last month on Mackinac Island. Lake will launch a U.S. Senate campaign for an Arizona seat in a splashy Scottsdale rally on Tuesday, having never conceded that she lost last year's race for Arizona governor. She is trying out new messages and courting the support of national Republicans she’s insulted in the past. That worries some Republicans who fear she will cost them a race that could decide control of the Senate.
