Apple said it would no longer issue Apple Pay Later loans, which enabled customers to buy products online and pay in four interest-free installments, at prices up to $1,000. To the Editor:Re “Less Marriage, Less Sex, Less Agreement,” by Nicholas Kristof (column, May 30):Women’s discontent with marriage is not new; it just became more obvious because the availability of both birth control and abortion freed women to express their discontent by either not marrying or not remarrying. Recently the number of women who are choosing not to marry has reached a level that is alarming to those who become anxious when the power of traditional hierarchies weakens. So it’s not surprising that a prominent feature of the MAGA movement is an effort to bully women back into dependency by appointing Supreme Court judges willing to revoke their access to abortion and perhaps also birth control. This bullying gets dressed up in religious rhetoric that ignores the obvious truth that our freedom of religion must always include freedom from others’ religious convictions.

She is no stranger to showbiz, however, as her father is Jay Laga‘aia, a New Zealand-born actor who starred in two of the “Star Wars” movies. He is also one of the movie’s producers, alongside, among others, “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote much of the original movie’s soundtrack. Honor on Thursday launched its first flip foldable phone as the Chinese electronics maker looks to step up its challenge in the high-end market against major players like Samsung . CNBC first reported in February that an Honor flip phone was going to launch this year. The global foldable market grew 49% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024, faster than the overall smartphone market. The Magic V Flip will go up against similar devices from the likes of Oppo, Vivo and Samsung. While the Magic V Flip is only launching in China, Honor has often brought a lot of its devices to international markets.

The new Passwords app for iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro, Mac and Windows, lets users store all of their passwords, including verification codes, app passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, Passkeys and more. Its new Passwords app, introduced at Apple's WWDC 2024 earlier this week, is one more solution to help protect online accounts and manage multiple logins. Password managers, like the Apple Password app, log different passwords, passcodes and logins securely under a safe account. You can't underestimate the amount of effort they will put into making sure that is locked down, and those are all tied into Apple IDs, Apple passwords. Apple Intelligence, its entry into AI, will leverage cloud-based models on special servers using Apple Silicon to ensure that user data is private and secure.
