Argentina, whose largest trade partner is Brazil, has previously said it intended to join the BRICS bloc. Leaked documents from earlier this year revealed the 82nd Brigade was a formidable unit with about 150 NATO-supplied armored infantry carriers. Forbes called the 82nd Brigade "almost comically powerful" as it represents half of its best NATO-delivered infantry armored vehicles. The 82nd Brigade, and its sister air-assault unit, the 46th Brigade, had previously been held in reserve. Ron DeSantis completed his campaign reset by replacing his campaign manager. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday completed the full-scale reboot of his once-promising presidential campaign, reassigning his campaign manager and elevating a loyal hand from his governor's office. James Uthmeier, DeSantis' chief of staff in Tallahassee, will now lead his campaign, news first reported by The Messenger. DeSantis' former campaign manager Generra Peck, who also led DeSantis' midterm reelection romp, will remain as a chief strategist. Uthmeier's elevation comes after the DeSantis campaign laid off more than a third of its staff that once boasted more than 90 people.

The Labor Department's closely watched employment report on Friday is still expected to show a tight labor market, with the unemployment rate steady near multi-decade lows, though wage growth probably moderated. Nonfarm payrolls likely increased by 200,000 jobs last month, after rising 209,000 in June, according to a Reuters survey of 80 economists. Still, employment growth would be double the roughly 100,000 jobs per month needed to keep up with the increase in the working age population. Striking Hollywood writers and actors also likely had no impact on employment growth. Though annual wage growth remains too high to be consistent with the Fed's 2% inflation target, it would be the latest indication of wage pressures continuing to subside into the third quarter.

One is that it’s about survey administration: In an online survey, you see a long list of candidates, read them over, and then you choose one. The Democratic primary, however, is a case where more sophisticated modeling of the primary electorate might make a huge difference. My guess: if we had done an elaborate Democratic primary poll — and we did not, in the absence of a competitive race — Mr. Biden’s lead would have grown.
