The London-based oil company agreed to market the state's share produced from the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity platforms at no charge per barrel, according to a ministry statement on Thursday. Through mid-year, Guyana's share of oil production from the consortium composed of Exxon Mobil (XOM.N), CNOOC Ltd (0883.HK) and Hess Corp (HES.N) was worth $307 million. The group markets two crudes: a medium to light sweet oil called Liza, and an even lighter grade called Unity Gold. BP will market crude to refiners, provide benchmark and performance comparisons, and help the government understand the behavior and yields of the Liza blend, the ministry said.

SINGAPORE, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Chinese refiners are slowing down Russian crude purchases in December and paying lower premiums in the face of imminent European Union sanctions and uncertainty surrounding the G7's plan to cap Russian oil prices, trading sources said. The European Union will ban Russian crude and oil products imports on Dec. 5 and Feb. 5, respectively. U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the Russian oil price cap will benefit China and India. URALSMeanwhile, state refiners are winding down Russian Urals crude purchases for December arrival to eschew sanction risks after stockpiling the oil in previous two months, traders said. Spot discounts for these cargoes "need to be deep enough to warrant any meaningful risk taking", said the state oil trading manager.

This appears to have resulted in China boosting imports from the kingdom, with Refinitiv Oil Research estimating that October arrivals were 1.91 million bpd, up from 1.84 million bpd in September. Rising exports of refined products are also acting as a spur to crude imports, with 4.46 million tonnes of fuel being shipped out in October. This was down from September's 1.5 million bpd and August's 1.23 million bpd, but it's worth noting that the past three months have been strongest since July last year.
