On Monday, Twilio announced a settlement with Sachem Head, an activist investor whose involvement in the company had been previously unreported. The agreement resulted in Twilio, which sells communications software, giving a board seat to Andy Stafman, a partner at Sachem Head. Two days later, Twilio said Byron Deeter, a prominent venture capitalist and early investor in the company, would be leaving the board. On March 11, less than a week after Twilio concluded the review, Sachem Head told the company it planned to nominate board candidates. ☆ Amazon resumes construction on office tower in Seattle suburb after yearslong hiatus

Amazon is resuming construction on a 42-story office tower in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue, the company said Thursday, after 22 floors of the building sat unfinished since 2022. In December, Amazon opened the first half of the 42-story office tower in Bellevue, dubbed "Sonic," and moved about 1,000 employees into the building. Amazon has continued to secure office space outside of Seattle, where it's headquartered. The tower, its largest, will have about 1 million square feet of office space. The second phase, referred to as PenPlace, includes three 22-story office buildings, retail space and a 350-foot-tall tower called "The Helix."

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is scheduled to be deposed later this month by lawyers for co-founders of his social media company as part of a dispute over ownership in Trump Media & Technology Group which went public last week. They said in 2021 they were pledged 8.6% of pre-merger Trump Media stock for helping to launch the company. Trump Media sued Litinsky and Moss in Florida on March 24, and is seeking to strip them of their stock, which it said they failed to earn due to mismanagement. Trump owned 90% of the social media company prior to its merger last month with a blank check firm that took the company public. In midday trade on Thursday, Trump Media was down 4.2% at $46.70, valuing the company at more than $6 billion.
