An Easyjet flight had a "near miss" with an "unidentified flying object," according to a new report. The pilot said the plane missed the unmanned flying object by around 10 feet. A report by the UK Airprox Board said the object was likely a drone. A National Air Traffic Services investigation report said the pilot first reported the incident over the radio during the flight. After landing the flight the pilot confirmed the plane had not made contact with the drone and the thud likely came from the cabin, per the report.
New York CNN Business —HBO has created a kingdom of hits, with none as popular as “Game of Thrones.” But “Game of Thrones” ended with a thud in 2019 when critics and fans were unhappy with the fantasy epic’s ho-hum conclusion (Bran Stark on the Iron Throne? Create more “Game of Thrones,” of course. Enter “House of the Dragon,” a prequel that takes place almost 200 years before the events of its predecessor and focuses on the Targaryen family. To put that number into context, season seven of “Game of Thrones” averaged 32.7 million viewers per episode, and season 8, its final season, averaged 46 million viewers. (It doesn’t hurt that “Game of Thrones” is pretty much like watching sports, albeit with more dragons.)

It's not unusual for executives to have so-called golden parachutes that trigger when their company is sold. Compared with the $400 million TD might have had to pay, that sounds like a bargain. But as a proportion of the overall deal value, Cowen’s executives punch above their weight. So even if Cowen’s top brass have agreed not to open their golden parachutes, they’ll still land at TD with considerable impact. The deal included a renegotiation of the severance packages held by Cowen’s top six executives, including Chief Executive Jeffrey Solomon.
Few outsiders have ever attended a KOTS fight in person. "The most notorious fight club, the one and only place for the unwanted ones, delivering the most stressed out and fucked up environment you can find. Back in 2019, the fight club started live streaming its events and charging around $14 per fight. In the exchange, a fan asked why the fight club allows anti-fascists to compete. "This is the most raw form of fighting," Hooi, who is not affiliated with any far-right groups, wrote during our interview.

My professor said, 'When you get out of here, remember to be in control of your destiny — and don't be that fish.' I took a different path with Peach & Lily. But we still haven't taken on institutional funding, and we are still guided by our original discipline to control our own destiny." — Alicia Yoon, founder and CEO of Peach and Lily and graduate of Harvard Business School
