Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid shoved a newspaper columnist during an altercation Saturday, according to multiple reports. The altercation happened in the 76ers’ locker room after the team’s 124-107 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, according to multiple reporters who were in the locker room for a postgame media availability. Embiid reportedly shoved Marcus Hayes, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer. In his column, Hayes mentioned Embiid’s son and late brother as reasons for why Embiid should start playing. Before the current season, Embiid said in an effort to help preserve his knees — which have both required surgery in the past — he would “probably never” play in back-to-back games again in his career.

Wembanyama finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals and five blocks, becoming just the third player in NBA history with multiple 5x5 games after Hakeem Olajuwon and Andrei Kirilenko. WASHINGTON — Speaking to a federal judge in July 2019, a flummoxed career Justice Department lawyer made a statement that summed up former President Donald Trump’s shoot-from-the-hip and often chaotic form of governance. The move put Justice Department lawyers in a quandary, led to the entire legal team’s being replaced and still ended in defeat when, just days later, the administration backed down. And there is little to suggest a second term would be any different. “I tend to think the past is prologue,” said a lawyer who served in a senior position in the Trump administration. “What we are preparing for in the chance of a second Trump administration is that, frankly, the legal maneuvers they would try to do would be better organized,” he said.

Allentown is a majority-Hispanic city of 125,000, and about one-quarter of its overall population is of Puerto Rican descent — one of the highest concentrations of Puerto Ricans anywhere in the U.S. Pennsylvania’s polls will close at 8 p.m. EST on Election Night, but we may get a big clue about Trump’s Puerto Rican support before that. Majority-Hispanic Osceola County in Florida, just south of Orlando, is a large county (population about 450,000 — and growing) that’s about one-third Puerto Rican.
