LISBON, Portugal — British online lender Zopa is on track to double profits and increase annual revenue by more than a third this year amid bumper demand for its banking services, the company's CEO told CNBC. Zopa posted revenues of £222 million ($281.7 million) in 2023 and is expecting to cross the £300 million revenue milestone this year — that would mark a 35% annual jump. The firm also says it is on track to increase pre-tax profits twofold in 2024, after hitting £15.8 million last year. But she returned home to find she wasn’t offered the same support by the US Department of Veterans Affairs that male combat veterans were offered, Smithers said. A loyal dog that refused to leave his dead owner's side helped solve the case of her murder by allowing detectives to identify her body, prosecutors said. Mandy Rose Reynolds, 26, was shot before her body was “burned beyond recognition” in a field fire in Robinson, Texas. Prosecutors Ryan Calvert and Alyssa Killin and Investigator Keith Kunz along with Mandy Reynolds' dog, Titan. A search of Reynolds' car in Wichita led police to find a .380 handgun in the driver’s seat floorboard. Ryan Borgwardt — a married father of two — went missing on Aug. 12 and his last known location was Green Lake, Green Lake County Sheriff Mark Podoll said during a news briefing Friday. Deputies found a capsized kayak in the lake and Borgwardt's vehicle and trailer parked in Dodge Memorial County Park, Podoll said.
