The number of Republican women in the House has tripled to a record 36, including two nonvoting members. Others involved in the effort to boost GOP women are also hopeful they can reach a new milestone this year. The number of House candidates has dropped overall since 2022, a redistricting year that brought a surge of new candidates. The Center for Women and Politics found the steepest drop was among Republican women. For Stefanik, the effort to recruit more GOP women to run for the House has been a resounding success.

Overall, NFL teams are currently averaging 21.4 points per game, the fifth straight year the scoring average has decreased, and the lowest points per game total since 2006. Last season, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the NFL with 4,624 yards, the lowest total for a passing yards leader since 2017. There are several theories as to why the passing game has been muted and scoring numbers have decreased. But it’s not only that teams are playing more Cover 2, the problem may also be that modern NFL teams are worse at attacking what is not a novel concept. Obviously, there is far from any consensus on why exactly NFL offenses have slowed down.

Rodgers defied his age in the win, moving around with ease and effectiveness as he evaded Patriots defenders and dissected New England’s defense with his throwing. Rodgers was serenaded throughout the game by the Jets faithful with chants of his name, and afterwards, the quarterback labeled Thursday a “really special night.”“I was feeling real good out there,” Rodgers told reporters.
