Since then, details have emerged about the jet’s production at Boeing’s facility in Renton, Wash., that have intensified scrutiny of the company’s quality control. Boeing workers opened and then reinstalled the panel about a month before the plane was delivered to Alaska Airlines. The directive is another setback for Boeing, which had been planning to increase production of its Max plane series to more than 500 this year, from about 400 last year. It also planned to add another assembly line at a factory in Everett, Wash., a major Boeing production hub north of Seattle.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested twice in roughly 48 hours after stalking Taylor Swift outside her Manhattan home, the police said on Tuesday. The man, David Crowe, of Seattle, was charged by the police on Monday with two counts of harassment and two counts of stalking. A neighbor and a security guard at the pop star’s building in TriBeCa had spotted Mr. Crowe, who was first arrested near Ms. Swift’s residence over the weekend. Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, security personnel called 911 to report that Mr. Crowe had tried to enter the residence, the police said. A judge had issued the warrants after Mr. Crowe failed to show up to court to answer those summonses.

SEATTLE (AP) — Alaska Airlines said Sunday it agreed to buy Hawaiian Airlines in a $1.9 billion deal, including debt, putting it on track for a potential clash with a Biden administration that has shown wariness about higher fares in the industry. The Tacoma-based Point Defiance Zoo is conducting dental exams and teeth-cleaning in its managed care program. The fittingly named vet is helping bolster a population of only 270 red wolves known to exist, mostly in managed care or zoos. The animals in managed care tend to live longer than free-ranging red wolves, in part because they have annual exams and dental hygiene. The rare red wolves once ranged from New York to Texas, but by the late 1960s to 1970s a once thriving population was decimated. Three of those released came from the Point Defiance Zoo program, including a pup born April 13.

Since 2008, the WNBA's Seattle Storm has been owned by three local businesswomen: Lisa Brummel, Ginny Gilder, and Dawn Trudeau. Their first decade owning the Storm was about learning how to run the business, Brummel told Insider. The ownership group closed in February 2023 a $21 million raise, Brummel said, which will go toward the new $64 million facility and working capital. The Seattle Storm currently practice in the basement gym of Seattle Pacific University, where Brummel said they get four hours of access per day. "What we've actually done is curated a list of people who really care about the team," Brummel said.
