Given a second chance to resuscitate his young career, Bryce Young produced something equally as rare during Week 9 of the NFL season — a victory for the Carolina Panthers. 1 overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft, who was benched earlier this season after just 18 career starts, led Carolina on a game-winning drive to beat New Orleans 23-22. After the Panthers took over with 3:26 left in the fourth quarter trailing 22-17, Young threw a pair of incompletions before he found Xavier Legette for 26 yards. On the next play, Young threw the ball high downfield, inducing a pass interference penalty that moved the ball 16 yards from the end zone. Less common is the benched starter who returns to earn full favor within an organization that had lost enough confidence to initially sit him.

10 House races to watch on election night (and beyond)
  + stars: | 2024-11-03 | by ( Terence Burlij | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +17 min
With so much at stake, CNN has identified 10 races to watch on Tuesday – grouped into buckets that nod to broader themes across the House landscape. Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger decided against seeking a fourth term, instead launching a campaign for governor in 2025. Democratic Rep. Jared Golden has crafted a moderate profile by challenging his party on issues ranging from spending to immigration. This year she faces a challenge from GOP state Rep. Gabe Evans, a fellow Mexican American and a former Army helicopter pilot and police officer. GOP Rep. Zach Nunn, an Air Force officer, was first elected in 2022 – defeating Democratic Rep. Cindy Axne by about 2,000 votes.

I was tired of dating immature men who lived as if they were still in a fraternity. I decided to go on a date with a sugar daddy because I wanted to feel appreciated. Dating men my age wasn't what I thought it would beDating in Denver wasn't going so well. On this website, older men and younger women agree to relationship terms that suit both parties, typically exchanging some form of quality time for money. AdvertisementLong-term, I don't think sugar-daddy dating will be something I continue to explore, but that experience showed me what I really wanted from dating.

The Athletic NFL writers Mike Jones, Ted Nguyen and Michael Silver share their thoughts on all of these storylines and more. After Week 9 wins by the Ravens, Bills, Bengals and Chargers, who is the second-best team in the AFC? If you don’t have an elite quarterback, don’t even bother trying to insert yourself into the “Who Will Win the AFC?” conversation. Denver has an elite defense but the Ravens offense presents unique challenges that they won’t see every week. That score doesn’t indicate how good this Broncos team actually is.

I moved from the US to South Korea in 2013, and there are some things I don't miss about America. Here are nine things I don't miss about living in the US. There's a large US military presence in South Korea, and many Americans have brought their tipping habits with them overseas. For example, in South Korea, I've seen candidates ride around in the bed of a truck blasting their campaign theme song. When I travel outside South Korea, I'm often stunned by the slow internet speeds and spotty public WiFi.

Golden eagle feet recovered by law enforcement officers from a Washington state man's vehicle. He said illegal shootings were “absolutely wrong” but sympathized with tribal members who don’t want to wait years for eagle parts. Around his waist was a decorative piece strung with eagle feathers, and he carried a short wooden stick carved into a bald eagle head, a single feather hanging from it. Online posts from people selling eagle feathers illegally are relatively easy to find on internet marketplaces. Most dead eagles, parts and feathers received by tribal members come from the wildlife service’s National Eagle Repository.

The lead-up to the Nov. 5 NFL trade deadline has already featured a good deal of action, as wide receivers Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins and Diontae Johnson all changed addresses within the last two weeks. Shawn Mendes opens up about his sexuality

Shawn Mendes said that he is “figuring out” his sexuality during his concert in Denver on Monday, according to video footage shared by fans on social media. “I think it’s kind of silly because I think sexuality is such a beautifully complex thing and its so hard to just put into boxes,” he said during his show, which took place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Mendes made the remarks before performing his unreleased song “The Mountain,” which features lyrics referencing the speculation over his sexuality. Many fans online said they feel that the public is not entitled to know about the private lives of celebrities. During Monday’s show, Mendes said that it feels scary to open up about his journey because of how people talk about others’ sexuality.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, more and more hotels are happy to show off their spookier side as a result. “They ditched the [premise of], ‘Oh, people may be scared,’ and said, ‘Wow, people will come and I can market it, so we’re a haunted hotel,’” said Melchiorri. The inspiration for Stephen King’s novel-turned-film “The Shining,” the 420-room grande dame, whose imposing facade is nearly as dramatic as its Rocky Mountains backdrop, is arguably the world’s most famous haunted hotel. From a messaging and marketing perspective, hotels should share their ghost stories or spooky lore “in a way that they don’t surprise anyone,” Orr said. “My experience is, whether they will admit it or not, most hotels have something that goes bump in the night,” Hunnings said.

Kamberlyn Bowler, 15, said she ate McDonald's Quarter Pounders in the days before she became ill.At least 75 people have been infected with E. coli in an outbreak that McDonald's has said is likely linked to slivered onions served on Quarter Pounders. The previously healthy, active 15-year-old is now hospitalized and battling kidney failure — a rare and potentially life-threatening complication of E. coli poisoning. Kamberlyn, of Grand Junction, Colorado, is one of dozens of people who say they became sick after having eaten McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. McDonald’s says the most likely source of the contamination was slivered onions served on its Quarter Pounders. On Oct. 18, she was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Colorado outside Denver, where she has remained ever since.

One member of the women’s volleyball team at San Jose State University has signed on to being part of a federal lawsuit against the NCAA challenging the presence of transgender athletes in women’s college sports. As with other points of dispute in the struggle over gender identity and transgender rights, one thing opposing sides have in common is framing their stance as a matter of what’s fair and right. This political and cultural backdrop makes the attention surrounding the SJSU situation more understandable. Anawalt echoes such an idea — that a resolution to the “fairness” question is muddy, elusive and perhaps ultimately unanswerable. And so where do you draw the bright white line in terms of what’s fair and what’s not fair?”

The Hallfords also admitted to Covid relief fraud of around $800,000, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. The funeral home where the remains were found was later demolished, NBC affiliate KUSA of Denver reported at the time. The president of McDonald’s USA said Wednesday that the company can "restore confidence" as it seeks to minimize the damage from an E. coli outbreak linked to the chain’s Quarter Pounders in multiple states. We took swift action yesterday to remove the Quarter Pounder from our menu. This was swift and decisive action by us,” Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald's USA, said on NBC's “TODAY” show. Customer Aaron Chapa, 22, said he eats at the restaurant a few times a week and consumed a Quarter Pounder over the weekend but never got sick. “I knew it was only the Quarter Pounder that was affected,” said Chapa, who was satisfying his hunger Wednesday with a cheeseburger.
