CNN —Researchers in Denmark have published a case report revealing an unexpected consequence of one of breakdancing’s most iconic moves: the headspin. Breakdancing, or breaking as it’s called by its athletes, made its debut as an official sport at the 2024 Paris Olympics. These can include carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve problems, as well as a condition known in the breaking community as headspin hole, an overuse injury that can affect the scalp. “This repetitive strain on the skull, scalp and skin likely triggers inflammation, and over time, minor bleeding may lead to thickened skin and scar tissue, forming the characteristic bulge.” Søndergaard, a co-author of the case report, treated the patient. The patient’s head before and after surgery to remove a noncancerous tumor caused by years of breakdancing.

The skeletons were buried alongside artifacts from far beyond Denmark’s borders, suggesting Vikings traveled extensively for trade, according to the team from the museum. CNN —ABBA legend Björn Ulvaeus has tied the knot for the third time, marrying his partner Christina Sas on Saturday in a ceremony officiated by comedian and ex-“Great British Bake Off” host Sandi Toksvig. “Today on the 21st of September 2024, Björn Ulvaeus married Christina Sas from Herning, Denmark,” a statement posted on the 79-year-old songwriter and guitarist’s Instagram page reads. Former "Great British Bake Off" host Sandi Toksvig married the couple in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ulvaeus married Fältskog in 1971 and Andersson and Lyngstad wed in 1978. Ulvaeus married Lena Kallersjö in 1981 but the pair divorced after 41 years of marriage in 2022, a year after ABBA reunited.

CNN —Ukraine’s electricity supply risks “severe disruptions” this winter, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned, urging Kyiv’s allies to help address the country’s energy security. Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with missiles and drones since its full-scale invasion in February 2022, but its bombardments have intensified recently, leaving the country in a precarious position as colder weather approaches. Ukraine has also attacked Russia’s energy infrastructure. In its report, the agency outlines 10 measures that Ukraine and its allies should implement to tackle risks to the country’s energy supply. She also noted that the EU had contributed at least €2 billion ($2.2 billion) toward Ukraine’s energy system since Russia’s full-scale invasion began.

WASHINGTON — Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., renewed his criticism of drugmaker Novo Nordisk on Tuesday, claiming that the CEOs of major generic pharmaceutical companies have told him that they can produce and sell its blockbuster diabetes drug Ozempic for less than $100 a month. During Tuesday's roundtable, Sanders said his recent conversations with generic drugmakers revealed that Novo Nordisk's pricing is "nothing less than excess corporate greed." “They have studied the math, and they tell me that they can sell a generic version of Ozempic, the exact same drug that Novo Nordisk is manufacturing, to Americans for less than $100 a month," Sanders said. Sanders’ office declined to say which generic drug companies told him that they could sell Ozempic at a fraction of what Novo Nordisk charges. Novo Nordisk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
