New York CNN —With sales of non-alcoholic beverages recently becoming a nearly half-billion dollar industry, even Target is becoming sober curious. Drinks in the lineup include two celebrity-backed companies: Kin Euphorics, a trendy brand co-founded by model Bella Hadid, and Katy Perry’s De Soi, which makes non-alcoholic apéritifs. Other brands include NOPE and Ghia, both of which produce non-alcoholic canned cocktails, and alcohol-free wine company Surely. “Séchey is a great curator of non-alcoholic brands and will help Target to really elevate its offer,” Neil Saunders, retail analyst and managing director at GlobalData Retail, told CNN. That has created a boom in sales for non-alcohol spirits, wine and beer, which surpassed $500 million this year according to research firm NIQ.

So far in 2023, choiceful has appeared in 15 quarterly earnings calls for S&P 500 companies, according to a CNBC analysis of FactSet transcripts. In 2021, only the CEOs of Molson Coors and McCormick said "choiceful" when speaking to investors on their quarterly conference calls. But the Oxford English Dictionary notes the earliest known use of the word in the late 1500s. These days, CEOs have used it to describe a consumer whose behavior has changed over the last two years. That's where "choiceful" comes in handy again.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Major League Baseball will play its 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta, four years after moving the game from Truist Park to Denver’s Coors Field over objections to changes in Georgia’s votings rights laws. The multiyear sponsorship, which begins on January 1, 2024, makes Bud Light the “official beer partner” of the UFC, with the beer branding having a “highly visible presence” during fights and weigh-ins. The new agreement is a reunion for Bud Light and the UFC, after a previous sponsorship ended in 2017. Bud Light replaces Modelo as UFC’s beer sponsor, the Mexican lager that has dethroned Bud Light from its title of America’s top-selling beer.
