The FTC unveiled its final “click-to-cancel” rule, which requires businesses provide a way for consumers to cancel their subscriptions that is just as easy as it is to sign up. That includes everything from gym memberships to digital streaming and e-commerce to cable TV service. “Too often, businesses make people jump through endless hoops just to cancel a subscription,” said Commission Chair Lina Khan in statement by the FTC. Other times they might’ve been able to sign up online, but in order to cancel they had to call and talk to a representative. Prosecutors have already charged Ryan Wesley Routh with two firearms offenses, and a federal magistrate judge on Monday ordered him detained pending further court proceedings. The attempted assassination charge is “pretty rare,” according to former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, a CNN senior law enforcement analyst. But it has been used in other high-profile attempted assassination cases, such as that of a man charged with traveling to Brett Kavanaugh’s Maryland home with a gun, burglary tools and other equipment in an apparent attempt on the Supreme Court justice’s life. To prove their case, prosecutors would have to convince a jury that Routh took affirmative steps to carry out a plot to kill the former president. Ron DeSantis said last week that the state “will be conducting its own investigation regarding the attempted assassination at Trump International Golf Club.” Routh has not been charged in state court.

It used to be that you saw a stretch limousine and excitedly wondered who was inside — maybe a corporate executive or a celebrity or some other classy, mysterious type. The limo industry isn't dead; it's just leaving the classic black stretch version of itself behind. Trade shows and expos for limousines and luxury transportation no longer have many, if any, actual classic stretch limos on their floors. He said they keep a stretch limo around for nostalgia's sake more than anything. A CEO gallivanting around in his or her fancy stretch limousine is gross.

Bausch + Lomb parent company Bausch Health is spinning off the eye-care company with an upcoming IPO which will list on the New York Stock Exchange and TSX with the ticker symbol “BLCO”. This would greatly benefit BLCO stockholders, of which Bausch Health is the largest. As an 88% owner of BLCO, Bausch Health's value derived from such a sale would be $12.32 billion. Adding the value of the proceeds from BLCO sale, the Xifaxan cash flows and RemainCo yields a total value of $25.93 billion for Bausch Health. After subtracting 100% of the Bausch Health debt, that would yield an equity value of $10.49 billion or $28.19 per share.
