The Hyundai Palisade, on the other hand, delivers effective daily transportation with a luxurious flair rarely found in a mass-market family SUV.

GM has bowed out of the robotaxi race for now, halting its investment in Cruise. Tesla and Waymo are the two frontrunners due to the progress they've made with self-driving. Advertisement"We believe GM's move also potentially implies that other companies (Tesla & Waymo) have better tech and/or that the market may not be appealing for later entrants," BofA analyst John Murphy wrote in a note. "Waymo is already offering a robotaxi service across several US cities and Tesla plans to launch its service in 2025." It's not new for rich people and big companies to donate to presidential inaugurations. That's at least in part because it's so public — the money is less important than the message. They're all donating $1 million to Donald Trump's inauguration fund. Which is why we can see it's also not unheard of for Big Tech companies to make inaugural donations. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos have a particularly sketchy past with President-elect Donald Trump. Meta donated $1 million to the inauguration, the company confirmed to CNBC, weeks after Zuckerberg dined with Trump privately at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Trump has been a vocal critic of tech companies, and he signaled earlier this month that he won't shy away from antitrust enforcement. The incoming president nominated Gail Slater, who advised Trump on tech policy during his first term, to head the Department of Justice's antitrust arm. In his first term, Trump repeatedly attacked Bezos and his companies, Amazon and The Washington Post, accusing them of dodging taxes or publishing "fake news," among other things.

Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, said Thursday it had donated $1 million to the inaugural fund of President-elect Donald Trump. The donation is the latest swing in the up-and-down relationship between Trump and CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s company. The two men had dinner together last month at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. In 2021, Meta suspended Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, as did some other platforms like Twitter, after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
