CNN —Hollywood star Florence Pugh has revealed that a surprise diagnosis led her to have her eggs frozen aged 27. Pugh said she booked the initial appointment after “a few weird dreams” made her think she should be checked out. It’s estimated to affect more than 11% of women between the ages of 15 and 44 across the United States. “And I feel like this is such a simple conversation that we should be having when we start our periods, or when we start having sex. It really, really should not take this long for someone to find out about this diagnosis that they have no idea what it is.”CNN’s Jacqueline Howard and Kristen Rogers have contributed to this report.

Investors shouldn't let a smaller-than-expected guidance beat overshadow tailwinds from Nvidia's looming Blackwell graphics processing unit rollout come January. Citi's Atif Malik lifted the firm's price target to $175 and opened a positive catalyst ahead of the consumer electronics show in January. Wells Fargo's Aaron Rakers moved to a $185 price target, reflecting 27% upside from Wednesday's close. Meanwhile, JPMorgan's Harlan Sur lifted his price target to $170 a share, saying that margins should improve toward the mid-70s range in the second half of 2025 as Nvidia streamlines costs. What's next for the stock Despite strong Blackwell expectations, some analysts warn of potential near-term volatility.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday reiterated his longstanding belief in Nvidia and CEO Jensen Huang, saying that despite the concerns of some on Wall Street, demand for the artificial intelligence behemoth's products isn't slowing down. Nvidia posted earnings Wednesday that comfortably topped estimates. Nvidia has had a meteoric rise, with shares currently up more than 196% year-to-date, and the company has posted large earnings beats quarter after quarter. According to Cramer, supply isn't set to outpace demand. Some of Nvidia's biggest customers, like Microsoft , Meta , Amazon and Tesla will have to keep buying the products, he said.

New York CNN —BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiking the price of its annual membership fee for the first time since 2018. The warehouse store chain, a smaller rival to Costco and Sam’s Club, announced Thursday that the cost will increase by $5 to $60 per year for its basic plan. Annual fees have been one of the biggest profit-generating areas for BJ’s, helping it offset expenses to keep its prices down. Meanwhile, Sam’s Club last raised its fees in 2022. The company has fewer stores than its major competitors, and its locations are a little smaller, though BJ’s carries a wider variety of items.

New York CNN —Truth Social, the social media platform owned by President-elect Donald Trump, appears to be exploring a move into the crypto space. Trump Media & Technology Group filed a trademark application earlier this week for TruthFi, which it described as a cryptocurrency payment processing platform. It’s not clear how far along Trump Media is in evaluating a crypto payment service or whether the Trump-owned public company will ultimately launch such a platform. The trademark application illustrates the thorny conflict-of-interest issues raised by Trump’s election victory and his sprawling business empire. The trademark application for a crypto payment service comes just days after the Financial Times reported that Trump Media is in advanced talks to acquire crypto trading platform Bakkt.

The founder of the first gold-tracking ETF is still bullish on the commodity two decades later. "Things are looking good for the rest of this year and for next year," George Milling-Stanley told CNBC's "ETF Edge" this week. Even the postelection pullback in gold futures and the SPDR Gold Shares ETF (GLD) hasn't tarnished the record run this year. "This is why we've seen the stock market go up dramatically, why we've seen the cryptocurrencies go up dramatically." But the precious metal, and in turn, the GLD ETF, are "starting to claw back some of the lost ground," Milling-Stanley said.

Donald J. Trump’s social media company is considering developing a cryptocurrency payment service, according to a trademark application filed this week, the latest sign of the president-elect’s embrace of the crypto industry. Trump Media & Technology Group filed an application on Monday for a service called TruthFi, which it described as a platform for crypto payments, financial custody services and trading in digital assets. But the initiative appears to be a bid by Trump Media to diversify its business beyond Truth Social, a social media platform whose business relies on Mr. Trump to continuously post messages to his most loyal supporters. Any large-scale crypto project would most likely require Trump Media to acquire another firm, given that it has fewer than three dozen employees. This week, shares in the crypto trading platform Bakkt surged after The Financial Times reported that Trump Media was in talks to buy it.
