Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston has been a highlight machine since taking over the starting job on Oct. 27 — both good and bad. That was never more true than Monday night, when Winston threw for 497 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-32 loss to the Denver Broncos. That would have been a great stat line, except Winston also threw three interceptions — including two pick-sixes. In true Winston fashion, immediately following Bonitto’s score, he led an 11-play drive in under 90 seconds for a touchdown. But one play after converting a 3rd-and-12, Ja'Quan McMillan intercepted Winston for a 44-yard score that gave Denver a 41-32 lead.

A new Arctic blast of winter weather is set to dump yet more snow onto the Great Lakes and Northeast, as winter weather caused transport chaos and left thousands stranded. Lake effect snow is still affecting areas downwind of lake Erie after several punishing days of winter weather and is expected to last through Wednesday. By Wednesday, the clipper weather system should bring snow to the interior Northeast and New England, while intensifying snowfall in areas downwind of the Great Lakes. In Erie, Pennsylvania, drivers were pictured on social media digging their cars and driveways out of more than a foot of snow. A lake effect snow warning is in effect across the area until 7 p.m.

HANOI, Vietnam — A court in Vietnam on Tuesday upheld a death sentence for real estate tycoon Truong My Lan after rejecting her appeal against a conviction for embezzlement and bribery in a high-profile $12 billion fraud case, state media reported. Lan, the chairwoman of real estate developer Van Thinh Phat Holdings Group, was sentenced to death in April for her role in what was Vietnam’s biggest financial fraud case on record. The High People’s Court in southern Ho Chi Minh City determined there was no basis to reduce Lan’s death sentence, reported online newspaper VnExpress. Documents reviewed by Reuters showed Vietnam’s central bank had as of April pumped $24 billion in “special loans” into SCB. Apart from the death sentence, Lan was handed a life sentence at a separate trial in October after being found guilty of obtaining property by fraud, money laundering and illegal cross-border money transfers.

The United States on Monday launched its third crackdown in three years on China’s semiconductor industry, curbing exports to 140 companies, including chip equipment maker Naura Technology Group, among other moves. Chinese companies facing new restrictions include nearly two dozen semiconductor companies, two investment companies and over 100 chipmaking tool makers. The companies include Swaysure Technology Co., Si’En Qingdao and Shenzhen Pensun Technology Co., which work with China’s Huawei Technologies. The telecommunications equipment leader has been hobbled by U.S. sanctions and is now at the center of China’s advanced chip production and development. However, it remains years behind chip industry leaders like Nvidia in AI chips and chip equipment maker ASML in the Netherlands.

Now it's worth much less, and it has been scrambling to solve a looming $124 million debt problem. That seems likely to come to a head this week, and may require the company to sell assets like "Hot Ones," its interview show. That's because today is the day that BuzzFeed could be on the hook for $123.5 million in debt and interest payments — money that it doesn't appear to have. AdvertisementIt is possible that BuzzFeed has a plan to deal with debt — by selling off assets, or renegotiating a deal with its creditors, or both. It's also worth noting that BuzzFeed doesn't necessarily have to pony up all $124 million today.

For roughly a decade after that first auction, he continued to broker deals the conventional way — for American sellers, Aussie-style auctions were a tough sell. Real-estate auctions are a time-honored tradition in Australia, dating back more than 200 years to its days as a British colony. But in times of healthy demand for homes, auctions can deliver benefits for sellers looking to ride out the frenzy. "I don't think the American consumer is ready for auctions yet," says Rob Hahn, the CEO of Decentre Labs, a company he started in 2022 to bring online real-estate auctions to the masses. The biggest beneficiaries, Duby tells me, may just be real-estate agents: When buyers and sellers are shuffled through this murky process, they'll look for a professional guide.

But sometimes, you simply can't give your child exactly what they want in a given moment — and that's a good thing, according to a child psychologist. Parents who say "yes" to their kids too often— whether reflexively or as an attempt to avoid tantrums — actually do their children a disservice in the long run, Kennedy said. By giving in too easily, you can inadvertently damage necessary boundaries that help children learn appropriate, respectful behavior, she added. "In fact, I would argue, it almost becomes dangerous for our kids to conflate being valued with getting what they want." Axon Enterprise could be set up for continued gains in the months ahead, according to Morgan Stanley. Analyst Meta Marshall upgraded the stock to overweight, and her price target of $700 reflects about 10% upside from Monday's close. This comes as the stock has risen more than 146% year to date. "While the name is expensive and may need to grow into valuation given run YTD, over the long term, we see it as a core holding." "As a result, we are more willing to ascribe value to AI portfolio pulling through other products, which could lead to additional valuation upside (as prelim AI portfolio pull through is likely built into price after recent run)," Marshall continued.

South Korea's inflation rate climbed in November to 1.5% year on year, from a 45-month low in October, as the country grapples with a weakening Korean won and slowing exports. Last Thursday, South Korea's central bank unexpectedly cut rates by 25 basis points to 3%, marking the first time that the Bank of Korea had enacted two back-to-back cuts since 2009. South Korea narrowly avoided a technical recession in the third quarter, with GDP growing 0.1% quarter on quarter, according to the bank's advance estimates, following a contraction of 0.2% in the second quarter. South Korea's currency has weakened against the greenback over October and November, hitting a two-year high of 1,411.31 as tariff fears from the incoming Trump administration take hold.
