LONDON, May 1 (Reuters) - After waiting longer than any British heir to become monarch, King Charles has quietly settled into his new role with little of the drama some commentators had expected, but with family divisions and some fundamental issues still looming. "I think we are all quite surprised at how well King Charles has begun," royal author Tina Brown told Reuters. Charles does not enjoy same support as his widely admired mother, but his public approval ratings are generally positive. For Charles, the most prominent issue remains the ongoing conflict with his younger son Prince Harry. "I think the public are thinking we've kind of heard all that, but normal life continues."

Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah were on target for Liverpool in a riveting clash at Anfield as Liverpool climbed to seventh. Liverpool sealed the win three minutes after Forest's second when Trent Alexander-Arnold picked out Salah with a low free kick and the Egyptian striker side-footed past Keylor Navas. Forest substitute Brennan Johnson hit the crossbar with a delicate chip as Liverpool clung on to take all three points. Liverpool have 50 points from 31 games, six points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United who face fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Gabriel's 63rd minute toe-poke by Gabriel was enough to lift Arsenal to 34 points from 13 games. "We're not in a fantastic moment as we speak and in the end Arsenal deserved to win because they were the better team overall," Potter said. But despite constant pressure they could not equalise as Liverpool held on for their first away league win of the season. Tottenham are in fourth place with 26 points from 14 games while Liverpool rose to eighth with 19 points.
