The presidential race remains razor close, with control of the White House at a coin-flip. AdvertisementIn just over two weeks, Election Day 2024 will be here — a final cap to a wild, at times unprecedented presidential fight that, for the moment, remains far too close to call. Noted election forecaster Nate Silver's model now shows Trump with an extremely slight lead in what continues to remain a toss-up race. Harris trolled Trump on Friday for being "exhausted," referencing a string of interviews he has reportedly walked away from. CNN —Vice President Kamala Harris turns 60 on Sunday – and, her campaign wants voters to know, that makes her 18 years younger than Donald Trump. Harris’ campaign is increasingly questioning the former president’s mental and physical fitness in the final weeks of the 2024 presidential race. “He’s becoming increasingly unstable and unhinged, and it requires that response,” Harris told reporters Saturday in Detroit. Top Harris allies have also leaned into the strategy of casting Trump as old and mentally unfit in recent days. “He’s talking about Hannibal Lecter, he’s talking about this, he’s talking about that.”Trump, at times, seems to tie migrants who seek asylum in the United States to the character of Lecter being detained at an insane asylum.

WASHINGTON — Kamala Harris’ campaign posted a video that appeared to show Donald Trump nodding off at a campaign event Friday, pushing a new line of attack that the former president is too "exhausted" to run for office. "An exhausted Trump appears to be falling asleep during his campaign event," the Harris campaign posted to its X account with a clip of Trump at a campaign roundtable event in Michigan on Friday. The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment about whether he fell asleep during the business roundtable. Harris repeated similar lines hitting on Trump as exhausted during two campaign rallies on Friday. The Harris campaign echoed the sentiments again in multiple social media posts and press releases.

When told he was getting a question on in-vitro fertilization, Trump said, "Oh, I want to talk about IVF. "And I said, explain IVF, very IVF, very quickly. Harris told reporters on Wednesday that Trump's "father of IVF" claim was "quite bizarre." Ukraine's F-16 pilots have had to get up to speed on a different fighter jet quickly. And more broadly, Ukraine's air force is having to rapidly undergo a wider transition that its international partners took significantly longer to do. Those older jets have hydraulic systems, while F-16 jets are fly-by-wire, which means computers process the input by pilots. A judge on Tuesday granted a civil protective order to Olivia Nuzzi, the political writer sidelined due to her ties to fringe presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., after she accused her ex-fiancé of harassing and blackmailing her. CNN —All signs suggest that the partisan divide over changing gender roles in society could widen even further in the 2024 election, adding a new source of uncertainty to a contest already on a knife’s edge. That was only the latest example of his campaign signaling its support for traditional gender roles. “The messaging on gender coming out of the campaign broadly is very much about reaffirming traditional roles for women and for men,” Cassese said. In PRRI polling this year, nearly half of Republicans agreed with two absolutist statements about gender roles. His problem is that most voters outside the core GOP coalition are generally comfortable with the changes in gender roles and family dynamics since the “Father Knows Best” era in the 1950s.
