CNN —When Elon Musk took over Twitter in October and began upending the platform, there weren’t many viable alternatives for frustrated users. ThreadsThreads is Meta’s long-anticipated answer to Twitter and the biggest threat to the social network Musk bought for $44 billion. And Zuckerberg isn’t just looking to catch up to Twitter; he wants to build a service that’s far larger. Spill has also emerged as a haven for Black Twitter users and marginalized communities seeking a safe space online. BlueskyBluesky, a service backed by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, looks identical to Twitter, with one key difference.

To the Editor:Re “There’s a Reason So Many People Quit Antipsychotic Drugs,” by Daniel Bergner (Opinion guest essay, June 4):Thank you to Mr. Bergner and The New York Times for countering hate and prejudice and raising a voice of reason on the subject of forced psychiatric treatment. There are so many of us: those who were harmed by forced treatment, those whose loved ones were harmed, those who lost loved ones to horrible physical side effects of psychotropic medications or to suicide when people chose death over another round of forced treatment. Patients flock to the few places that offer effective, humane treatment modalities (Open Dialogue, Soteria House). Providing housing without preconditions along with access to voluntary mental health services is the best evidence-based practice recommended by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and used with great results all over the world. But it does not create a lot of profit for pharmaceutical companies and psychiatric hospitals.

Twitter suspended the accounts of PlainSite and its founder Aaron Greenspan, a prolific Tesla and Elon Musk critic, on Tuesday afternoon. PlainSite is an online database that makes state and federal court filings and other public records available to users for free. Greenspan has meticulously tracked litigation by or against companies mostly in the U.S., including Tesla, Twitter (which Musk took private in an acquisition last year), as well as competitors GM , Meta and a myriad of others. The suspension stands at odds with public statements from Twitter's executive chairman and CTO Elon Musk, and newly-appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino. He also discussed some of the reasons why he started the "legal transparency initiative" PlainSite, and how he came to be regarded as an Elon Musk nemesis.

Twitter's new CEO Linda Yaccarino is sharing her vision for "Twitter 2.0" — and it sounds a lot like owner Elon Musk's ambitions. In an email sent Monday to Twitter employees, Yaccarino said it's her mission to turn Twitter into "the world's most accurate real-time information source." "That's not an empty promise," she wrote, later sharing the email — with some slight tweaks — in a public thread on Twitter.

JAKARTA, April 13 (Reuters) - The chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) said on Thursday the bloc "strongly condemns" a military air strike this week on a village in Myanmar, which is reported to have killed up to 100 people including civilians. Tuesday's attack in the Sagaing area was the deadliest in a recent string of military air attacks, with children reported to be among the dead, and has drawn global condemnation. "All forms of violence must end immediately, particularly the use of force against civilians," chair Indonesia said in a statement. "This would be the only way to create a conducive environment for an inclusive national dialogue to find a sustainable peaceful solution in Myanmar," it said. A junta spokesperson said Tuesday's attack targeted a ceremony held by the NUG for their armed People's Defence Force, adding the attack aimed to restore peace and stability in the region.

"Content on TikTok accesses the younger generation in a direct way, so HR teams can set up space to communicate things like, 'How do we deal with discrimination?'" "That's just not how the younger generations communicate," Folan said. This also helps HR teams facilitate an open dialogue with employees in a faster way. It might even benefit an HR team to carve out an entire position, or even allow existing employees to dedicate time solely to TikTok content creation. Folan said HR teams, and any team within a company, stands to benefit from having younger workers to level up their internal communication methods and branch into spaces, like TikTok creation.
