As Elon Musk continues to aggressively share conspiracy theories and misinformation about elections on X, election officials are fighting back. In three instances in the last month, Musk's posts highlighting election misinformation have been viewed over 200 times more than fact-checking posts correcting those claims that have been published on X by government officials or accounts. Japanese atomic bomb survivor organization Nihon Hidankyo won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in recognition of the organization's efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons. "Gradually, a powerful international norm developed, stigmatising the use of nuclear weapons as morally unacceptable. The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it had not been able to contact Nihon Hidankyo yet, but that "it hoped to do so very soon." The committee has previously sought to spotlight the issue of nuclear weapons, awarding the peace prize to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) in 2017. Winners of the Nobel Prize typically receive 11 million Swedish krona ($1.06 million), although multiple winners share the sum.

Shaw revealed on Thursday it had amassed a roughly $1 billion stake in industrial gas giant Air Products and Chemicals, the second activist stake at the $71 billion company. Shaw, is seeking a clear succession plan for Air Product's CEO, 80-year-old Seifi Ghasemi. Shaw also took aim at how Air Products has structured some of its largest deals. Shaw said in its presentation to Air Products' board that the company has begun significant hydrogen projects costing many billions of dollars, without any guaranteed cash flow. Some 81% of teens ages 13 through 17 feel pressure that leaves them feeling badly about their game plans, achievements, appearances, social lives, friendships and/or how informed they are about issues, the survey found. Social media makes the pressure worse for most teens, but some said social media can also help lessen it. The survey, which was conducted in fall 2023, found that 27% of teens said they were burned out. (The survey of 1,545 teens ages 13 to 17 had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.)
