From 2008 through 2020, the winning candidate either swept or nearly swept the final six to eight battleground states. Are we still under-sampling Trump voters? Then again, is Trump’s improvement in the polls this cycle an indication the polling community finally got it right on the Trump vote? CNN —Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla made a surprise pitstop in India as they returned from their royal tour to Australia and Samoa. “Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said on Wednesday. Then-Prince Charles and Camilla during a visit to India on November 9, 2017 in New Delhi. The King is expected to return to regular overseas trips in 2025, according to Britain’s PA Media news agency. The monthly survey’s Consumer Confidence Index jumped in October by the fastest clip since March 2021. In September, jitters over the job market’s health weighed on consumer confidence, but economic data after that showed that the job market remains solid. “Views on the current availability of jobs rebounded after several months of weakness, potentially reflecting better labor market data,” Peterson said.
