Some of the nation’s leading civil rights groups told NBC News that they are gearing up for a flood of legal battles to protect the protesters. Smollett, Cosby convictions both overturned after due process rights violatedNearly three years ago, Smollett was found guilty on five of six felony counts of disorderly conduct.
