INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts will activate All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor this week and he could play Sunday against Tennessee. Coach Shane Steichen told reporters Monday he expects Taylor to practice starting Wednesday and the team will then evaluate whether he's ready to start playing in games. The former Wisconsin Badgers and New Jersey prep star missed all of the Colts offseason workouts following offseason ankle surgery and spent all of training camp and the first four weeks of the regular season on the PUP list. Taylor, the 2021 NFL rushing champ who rushed for nearly 3,000 combined yards in his first two seasons, has been mired in an ugly contact dispute with the team. Steichen said he has been speaking with Taylor regularly and that his top rusher is eager to get back to work.

Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer said that House Republicans have amassed “a mountain of evidence” showing that Biden “abused his public office for his family’s financial gain.”Yet, as has been the case since they began lobbing the sensational accusations, they offered nothing to support them. Turley added that, in his view, House Republicans passed the threshold for an impeachment inquiry into Biden’s conduct but that the evidence made public thus far lacks teeth and would, in his view, favor Biden. Thus far, no evidence has surfaced suggesting the president has accepted bribes or abused his positions in office. In at least one such cash transfer, Hunter Biden used the president’s home address in the wire form, which Republicans said on Thursday provides a critical link to the president. McCarthy gave his blessing to the impeachment inquiry earlier this month after pressure mounted from former President Donald Trump and his allies in the House.

July 6 (Reuters) - A federal judge's order restricting Biden administration officials from contacting social media companies about moderating their content will face tough legal challenges on appeal, experts said. The 37 federal charges against former President Donald Trump were unsealed on Friday. Trump announced the indictment on Truth Social and has been pushing his narrative since Thursday. While his team feels good about their response to the charges, that does not mean he's off the hook. While that puts him at a public relations advantage over special counsel Jack Smith, it doesn't mean he's clear of serious legal peril. And if Trump is convicted, the judge has a large say, within the guidelines, of whether he ever sees prison time.

DOJ will seek incarceration for Trump, a national security attorney and former US prosecutor say. McClanahan said evidence in the indictment was laid out to show "that this is a kingpin who knowingly broke the law, endangered national security, endangered nuclear weapon security, endangered other countries' national security." In this case, that looks likely to be US District Judge Aileen Cannon, who Trump appointed. It's more likely that, if convicted, he'd be sentenced to house arrest with an ankle monitor, McClanahan said. "Trump can share that information that is in his head whether he is incarcerated or not incarcerated," she said.

A top Fox News legal commentator called the indictment against Donald Trump "extremely damning." Turley on Friday warned Trump's legal team: "This is not an indictment you can dismiss." If Donald Trump wanted to hear good news about his unsealed indictment, Fox News on Friday wasn't the place to find it. "It is an extremely damning indictment," Turley, a conservative jurist and the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, said. But even so, Turley warned Trump's legal team: "This is not an indictment you can dismiss."
