New York CNN —The Teamsters union is holding a vote right now among more than 330,000 members to authorize a strike against UPS. If UPS workers strike, it would be the largest single-employer strike in US history. UPS (UPS) is simply too big – delivering an average of 17 million domestic packages a day – to have all the packages it handles moved by competitors. The strike vote being conducted through July 16 is likely to pass overwhelmingly, as virtually all such votes do. If a deal is reached, but a majority vote against it, there will still be a strike this time.

The TV series, an action-comedy-drama combination, is based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang and premieres on Disney+ streaming service on Wednesday. He changed his mind, however, after being reassured by show producer Melvin Mar and series creator, Kevin Yu, and seeing the dedication of the Asian-led cast. The TV series follows high school student Jin Wang, played by Ben Wang, who struggles with his identity as he navigates both school and home life. “American Born Chinese” draws from Chinese folklore and Chinese and Japanese animation that is based on the 6th century Chinese novel “Journey to the West.”Beyond the kung fu action story, the show focuses on the challenges of Jin understanding his Chinese and American identities, while also going through the tribulations of being a teenager. CNN —The phrase “nobody’s perfect” just might not apply to José Mourinho when it comes to European soccer finals. “My concern isn’t marking my place in the Roma history books,” Mourinho told Sky Sports after the match. Roma will now face Sevilla in the Europa League final at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna on May 31. The Spanish team is likely to be a formidable foe – not least because Sevilla has won all six of its previous Europa League finals. Roma reached the Europa League following a 1-0 victory on aggregate against Bayer Leverkusen.

WAKEFIELD, England—This time last year, Mohammad Azar Nazir was running a humdrum convenience store in Wakefield, a small city in the north of England, trying to turn his life around after a four-year stretch in prison for drug offenses. “I was the biggest numpty you could meet,” he said, meaning a bit of a fool in the local Yorkshire slang, flashing a gold tooth as he smiled. He said he fell in with the wrong crowd and made some poor choices.

LOS ANGELES, March 9 (Reuters) - Hot dogs for fingers, plastic googly eyes, and conversing rocks are hardly staples of mainstream movie-making. Yet, they have became cultural touchstones of "Everything Everywhere All at Once," the at-times baffling and absurdist film that has captivated Hollywood. "It is using all of this apparatus of big storytelling that we've been kind of very accustomed to," Willmore said. "Bringing that large scale to bear on this very small story, I think that is really what has swept people up," she added. Star James Hong alluded to the confusion when the movie was honored at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

Nicola Sturgeon , who has led the Scottish Parliament for the past eight years, said she would have less energy for the job and that staying on might do more harm than good for the cause of independence from the rest of the U.K. Scotland’s Parliament has powers over local matters, including health and education, but not national ones, such as defense or diplomacy, which are reserved for the U.K. Parliament at Westminster.

Moldova’s pro-European president accused Russia of trying to overthrow its democratic system and open a fresh front in Moscow’s war on Ukraine. In a televised address, President Maia Sandu said Moldovan authorities had confirmed details of an alleged Russian plot to co-opt the former Soviet republic that Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky had laid out to European Union leaders in Brussels last week.

Announcing her decision Friday, Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita told a news briefing in the capital Chisinau that no one could have predicted the scale of the challenges her government has faced since the Russian invasion began nearly a year ago.
