Since the Ryder Cup began in 1927 there have been only two tied matches. There followed a series of terrifically close matches but only in 1989 at The Belfry did one finish level at 14-14 with Europe retaining the title having led 14-10 only to lose the last four singles. In cricket I think retaining the Ashes is a big thing. You have a completely new team, for instance, at the Solheim Cup, and they tied. Perhaps the best approach is that of US Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis, who reviewing the draw that was an effective defeat, decided to view it as a victory anyway.

Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods are so close that Tiger considers JT part of his family. Thomas listed his 'starter' house in Jupiter, Florida, the home of many top golfers, including Tiger. The $3.5 million house has everything a wealthy young bachelor would want in a house. The property, dubbed Thomas' "starter house" by Golf Digest, was on the market for $3.5 million just months after he got married, and was listed by former golfer Johnny DelPrete of Douglas Elliman Realty. So it's no surprise that the house for sale is just three miles from Tiger's home on Jupiter Island.

June 15 (Reuters) - Rickie Fowler said he and fellow American golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are looking to invest in Leeds United after 49ers Enterprises agreed on a takeover of the English soccer club. Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani agreed to sell his stake to the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise after they were relegated from the Premier League. "There is the group that's moving forward with being involved with Leeds. Myself, JT and Jordan potentially will be a part of it," Fowler told Sky Sports. The trio are looking to follow former NFL player J.J. Watt and his wife, former U.S. soccer international Kealia Watt, who have invested in Burnley.
