The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group, said it received 774 complaints between Oct. 7 and Oct. 24, roughly triple what was recorded over about two weeks, on average, last year.
The Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish advocacy group, said of the 312 reported antisemitic incidents it has recorded between Oct. 7 and Oct. 23, 190 were related to the war, an increase unlike anything the group has seen tied to a specific event.
