Some of the ads feature doctors speaking passionately about abortion and saying that Republican candidates shouldn't represent "us" or "our" communities in Congress. But in at least four instances, House Majority PAC, a super PAC aligned with House Democratic leadership, featured Republican-blasting doctors in their ads who did not live in the district where they were advertising. The path to the House majority runs through all four of the districts where these ads ran. Since then, both doctors and patients have often become key personal messengers on abortion for Democrats. But Republicans blasted House Majority PAC over the ads, calling them misleading and accusing the group of spreading falsehoods about GOP incumbents and candidates.

The number of Republican women in the House has tripled to a record 36, including two nonvoting members. Others involved in the effort to boost GOP women are also hopeful they can reach a new milestone this year. The number of House candidates has dropped overall since 2022, a redistricting year that brought a surge of new candidates. While it was an asset to Biden in polling against Trump, it appears to be a much bigger advantage for Harris. And in this new NBC poll, Harris’ advantage was just under 20 points. It’s obvious at this point that Trump will win men by close to double digits, ditto with Harris among women. But many voters have seen "Vice President Kamala Harris" as a fresher candidate, including those who previously viewed Trump as a better steward of the economy. That would spell doom for Democrats' Senate majority.

Tuesday’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is the culmination of 75 days of utter and unprecedented campaign chaos — and the beginning of a 55-day race to Election Day through equally uncharted waters. The best-polling third-party candidate in a generation, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., saw his numbers collapse, and he is out of the race and supporting Trump. The sides even flipped on the debate rules, with the Harris campaign (unsuccessfully) pushing for open microphones during the whole debate after Biden’s team favored turning candidates’ mics off when it is not their turn. Harris’ campaign put a policy page on her website only on Monday. For making it through the past 75 days of chaos, America now gets 55 days of unpredictability with little precedent in modern history.

New York CNN —OpenAI stunned users when it demonstrated an updated voice mode for the most advanced version of ChatGPT earlier this year. Far from the kind of robotic voice that people have come to associate with digital assistants like Alexa or Siri, the ChatGPT advanced voice mode sounds remarkably lifelike. Starting on Tuesday, advanced voice mode — which works with the most powerful version of the chatbot, ChatGPT-4o — will begin rolling out to paid users. Advanced voice mode will start rolling out to a small group of subscribers to the app’s “Plus” mode, with the aim of making it available to all Plus users in the fall. ChatGPT does have a less sophisticated voice mode already.
