Feelings of anger adversely affect blood vessel health, according to a study published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Heart Association. How 40 minutes could turn into a longer problemResearchers in this study observed three major ways that anger impacted blood vessel health, Shimbo said. First, it made it harder for blood vessels to dilate in response to ischemia, or a restriction, he said. After the eight-minute task meant to induce anger, the impacts on blood vessels were seen for up to 40 minutes, he said. Maybe there are ways — such as exercise or medication — to treat the adverse effects of anger on blood vessels, he speculated.

“The way we’re hoping our careers go, we might do something with more grit and teeth,” Schumer told Variety in an interview published on Tuesday, referencing her and Lawrence’s ideal collaboration. A movie with “grit” is a departure from the sibling comedy that Schumer and Lawrence had previously announced that they were developing together. Nearly 10 years later, however, Schumer told the outlet she doesn’t think that project “will ever happen.”“Life kept going,” she said of the reason the film didn’t pan out. I don’t want to say any more than that.”Echoing Schumer’s sentiment, Lawrence also told the outlet that the project is indeed no longer on the table. And despite that project not panning out, the “No Hard Feelings” actor also told Variety this week that they still “have every intention of working together.”

We’re looking back at the strongest, smartest opinion takes of the week from CNN and other outlets. But there’s also the loud minority of “Never Trump” Republicans, represented by figures like former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger or former New Jersey Gov. In North Carolina, exit polls suggest Trump won a slim majority of Republican voters with a college degree. But there’s a third camp: the reluctant Republican stalwarts who are neither Always Trump nor Never Trump. In general, these Republicans tend to seek traditionally defined conservative policy victories – from school choice to tax cuts to a strong national defense. But they can also see the potential for conservative policy victories in a second Trump administration.

As Nikki Haley stepped to the podium Saturday night, the bravado she had embodied after losing in New Hampshire a month earlier was gone. Her expression was somber and, for a moment, she appeared to be edging toward withdrawing from the race for the Republican nomination. We need to beat Joe Biden in November,” she said, as her audience held its breath. Finally, she pivoted: “I don’t believe Donald Trump can beat Joe Biden.”It was a remarkable corrective from Jan. 23, when she spun her 43 percent of New Hampshire’s vote from defeat into a kind of victory and vowed to beat Mr. Trump in her home state of South Carolina. And though Ms. Haley similarly resolved to stay in the race on Saturday, her fortitude now looked more like stubborn grit and determination than upbeat confidence.

Responding to an article in January questioning why the Scot is continuing to play professional tennis, Murray backed himself.
