CNN —More than 1.5 million years ago, two different species of ancient human crossed paths on a lakeshore, perhaps locking eyes with each other. The researchers found 12 hominin tracks in a line, suggesting they were made by the same individual. “There’s one long trackway with 12 (hominin) footprints in it. We hypothesize that those more humanlike footprints are more likely Homo erectus just because the rest of their anatomy is so human,” Hatala said. Federal ethics laws require those senior government jobs in the Cabinet and beyond to divest their individual stock holdings, lest anyone be tempted to abuse their position of power to juice their personal investments. “The rule of thumb is, recuse or divest,” said Jordan Libowitz, vice president for communications at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW. “The more complex your assets are, the harder it can be to divest from them. Although the president isn’t subject to conflict of interest laws, most presidents have adhered to them anyway to avoid any appearance of impropriety. "Delete CFPB," Musk wrote on X early Wednesday of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. An FBI agent was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault two years after he was acquitted of attempted murder. Two women allege they were raped inside a tattoo studio, and police say Valdivia may be have additional victims. The woman returned for a second shoot at a nearby hotel and was again sexually assaulted by Valdivia, police said. The FBI Washington Field Office s noaid in a statement the agency is cooperating with Montgomery police in their investigation of Valdivia. Valdivia told the man, “Watch your mouth,” and the man turned around and approached Valdivia, who told him to back up multiple times prior to the shooting.
