While the concept of working wherever you want might sound too good to be true, with the right remote job, that dream can become a reality. In a work-from-anywhere job, employees work "100% remotely, are independent of location and, in many cases, are also independent of a specific time zone," says Toni Frana, a lead career expert at FlexJobs. Most remote jobs have geographic requirements, whether it's a specific country, state or city, mainly due to state and federal regulations that dictate where companies can hire people and do business. FlexJobs also identified the 10 most in-demand work-from-anywhere jobs companies are hiring for right now by analyzing its database for the roles that had the highest volume of work-from-anywhere listings between January and April 2023. These two skills, along with time management and communication, are some of the most important qualifications companies are looking for in work-from-anywhere job candidates.

From origami enthusiasts to aerospace engineersRuble and Jensen began their paper plane engineering careers while in middle school, participating in paper airplane events held at Boeing. For those looking to create their own record-breaking paper plane design, the feat is not impossible, but may take some time (and skill).

The mobile launcher with NASA's SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft rolls out of the Vehicle Assembly Building's High Bay 3 to Launch Complex 39B on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. “I worked over 50 Space Shuttle launches,” Boeing SLS program manager John Shannon told CNN by phone. Though more than 1,000 companies were involved with designing and building SLS, Boeing’s work involved the largest and most expensive portion of the rocket. The SLS rocket ended up flying its first launch more than six years later than originally intended. All of the “major components” for a third SLS rocket are also completed, Shannon added.

David Rubenstein: You and Warren Buffett, with whom you have often been compared, are probably the two best-known and successful value investors. Early on in the 1920s and 1930s, Benjamin Graham wrote about value investing. In terms of the requirements to be a value investor, the skill set, first of all, people need to be patient and disciplined.

Architects and design students in Italy and the United States are collaborating on an initiative to map ancient aqueducts and water systems in Naples. In many ways, Naples lies at the intersection of these concerns, which makes it a compelling laboratory to study potential solutions, De Pace said. The Cool City Project is exploring ways to revive ancient springs, aqueducts and waterways in Naples, Italy, to combat the urban heat island effect. The idea is to examine if reviving these ancient waterways, or resurfacing them, could counter the urban heat island effect. He said he's eager to challenge his students to integrate climate solutions into architectural design — a lesson with applications that extend far beyond Naples and its unique circumstances.
After seeing her listing on the front page of Airbnb search results, other hosts in the area reached out for advice. Now, she runs an operation with six assistants that oversees 60 properties nationwide, from condos in Myrtle Beach to fishing cabins in Colorado. This strategy will only ultimately frustrate guests, Mosher said. In addition to bad reviews, hosts with an over-capacity space are increasing liability for their space and the wear and tear on their furniture. For example, instead of "Thanks for your message," Mosher sends guests: "Thank you for the fantastic communication, safe travels and happy adventures."
Foundries are facilities that manufacture chips that other companies design. So there aren't many giant Indian chip firms and certainly no leading-edge manufacturing companies. "I have no doubt that India has a big role to play," Kotasthane said. Semiconductor design requires large numbers of skilled engineers and this is where India's strength lies," he added. So now, the next step is the effort to build an ecosystem where there is some Indian IP (intellectual property) by Indian companies," Kotasthane said.
