Shopping platform Rakuten plans to return as a Super Bowl advertiser in February to highlight how it can help consumers save money shopping during an uncertain economic time. The company, a U.S.-based division of Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten Group Inc., earlier this year made its first appearance as a Super Bowl advertiser to raise its awareness with U.S. customers. Super Bowl LVII will air Feb. 12, 2023, on Fox. An Ohio man accused of helping his family plan, carry out and cover up the killing of eight members of another family was found guilty of murder Wednesday. Amazon .com Inc. said it is laying off employees across its corporate ranks, in a rare round of cuts for a tech giant that has mostly seen consistent growth throughout its history. The company said Wednesday that it is shedding workers as it aims to control costs. Amazon could cut about 10,000 jobs, including in its retail, devices and human-resources divisions, a person familiar with the matter said, who also noted that the final number could change.
