Super PACs, which can accept unlimited donations, are legally barred from coordinating with or donating directly to politicians' campaigns. Advertisement"I'm gratified that a bipartisan group at the FEC has rightly rejected this baseless, headline-seeking complaint," Luke Thompson, the executive director of the super PAC, told Business Insider. "This super PAC was keeping him afloat as a candidate with research, messaging ideas, and all of the stuff that basically allowed him to remain viable." In recent years, it's become increasingly common for campaigns and super PACs to use public websites to get around existing campaign finance laws. Those materials had been funded by Never Back Down, a super PAC supporting the Florida governor.

CNN spoke to 10 students and four faculty members at Morehouse College who had differing opinions on Biden speaking at their school. Jalen Silas Burch, a 19-year-old freshman, told CNN that he feels the president’s speech is a move to “pander” to Black male voters. Student volunteers assisting with the graduation ceremony at Morehouse College are also required this year to undergo a virtual de-escalation training with the Morehouse College Police Department before the graduation ceremony, according to an email obtained by CNN. “The number one conversation going on is that this graduation is not for President Biden.

Read previewThis as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Nolan Church, a 35-year-old former recruiter for Google and Doordash from Salt Lake City. As a former recruiter at Google and the ex-head of talent at DoorDash, I've seen my fair share of candidates get ghosted by jobs they've interviewed for, and I've definitely ghosted candidates, too, but never intentionally. Recruiters forgetWhen candidates interview for a role and think, "I really want this job, but I'm not hearing back," I advise them to email the recruiter. One way to follow up with a recruiter is to send them a thank-you email within 24 hours after the interview. Recruiters are talking to other candidatesIf a candidate gets ghosted early in the hiring process, the recruiter is most likely talking to other candidates.

Jerusalem CNN —The Israeli military is calling on the United Nations to investigate the presence of armed militants at a UN facility in southern Gaza after releasing video that shows armed men at the facility. The Israeli military said the footage was filmed on May 11, three days before the IDF released it. The Israeli military said COGAT, the Israeli agency charged with coordinating humanitarian aid to Gaza, shared the military’s findings with “senior officials in the international community,” including UN officials. The Israeli military released the video one day after a United Nations worker was killed and another injured when the UN-marked vehicle they were driving in was struck in Rafah. The United Nations said they believe a tank fired on the vehicle, and the Israeli military has said the incident is “under review.”

Food and energy prices have soared since the West imposed sanctions on Russia, he noted partly because Russia is one of the world's largest exporters of oil and grain. Even the US dollar may end up worse off due to sanctions, Rubin said. Russia's trade with China, for instance, has nearly completely phased out the dollar, Russian officials said last year. Among people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, researchers recognize familial forms of the disease and sporadic cases. This shifting appreciation of inherited risk, researchers say, is due to a better understanding of the role of a fourth gene that carries the blueprints to make a lipid-carrying protein called apolipoprotein E, known as APOE. One known as APOE2 is thought to be protective against the development of Alzheimer’s disease. They also compared people with two copies of APOE4 to people with other inherited forms of the disease — early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s disease (ADAD) and Down syndrome-associated Alzheimer’s disease (DSAD). Gene testing isn’t currently recommendedIt is also likely to change how people who carry the APOE4 gene are diagnosed and treated.

Looking back, I think being a single mom was hard. However, I think today's solo parents have a more difficult time due to the pressures of social media. We adopted our boys in 2012 and 2013, and there was a Facebook mom group for everything. I sometimes wonder how my experience parenting my daughter in the 90s would have been made better or worse by the presence of social media. My experience with Facebook mom groups has taught me that they're mostly a place of judgment and one-upmanship.

American dairy cows have been contracting avian flu, and inactive traces of the virus have been found in milk supplies across the country.
