Sadly, I'm also still stuck in my native English head, which doesn't delineate between a formal and informal "you," either. We're three hours by train from Amsterdam, three and a half hours by train from Paris, and four hours by train from London. Despite all the mistakes, misunderstandings, and episodes of embarrassment, I can honestly say that I'm grateful for everything living in Germany has brought me.

Quandarius Davon Stanley, was one of three US service members injured in non-combat incidents during the mission, though two were immediately returned to duty after suffering minor injuries. “Stanley was injured while supporting the mission that delivered humanitarian aid to Gaza in May 2024 and was receiving treatment in long-term care medical center,” Capt. Rising interest rates and export bans were eroding Russian defense companies' profits across the board, they said, making the Russian state the only guarantor of revenues. Sheremeta described the situation as a "death spiral," where war spending begets more inflation, which requires more war spending. "If some defense companies cannot fulfill their obligations, the Kremlin can simply nationalize them," Sheremeta said.
