However, there are signs suggesting that investors are getting pretty angsty over the future of Nvidia and AI more broadly. First, Nvidia's 122% year-on-year revenue growth in the last quarter was smaller than the 262% growth it recorded in the previous quarter. From the moment Paul Graham dropped his essay on "founder mode," people online analyzed it like a stone tablet found bearing the new commandment of startupdom. But there's one group that has been privately wrestling with "founder mode" since before it had a meme-able name: female founders. Four female founders told Business Insider that a stark double standard prevents them from operating their startups as their male counterparts do. Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd wrote on Instagram that she was "in founder mode for 10 years and got attacked for it every single day." But unlike female founders, he and Neumann, the WeWork founder, enjoy the luxury of being given second chances by investors.

New York CNN —Nvidia, the nearly $3 trillion AI chip maker, is well known as a “golden handcuffs” employer. It’s worked especially well for Nvidia, a 30-year-old tech company whose specialized chips now account for 90% of AI-related chip sales. Since 2019, Nvidia’s stock has soared 3,000% — minting millionaires among its rank and file. Things got worse for Nvidia on Tuesday, when shares fell 9.5%, wiping $279 billion off its value. Meanwhile, Macron's own politics and allied government have been "widely rejected by the French," Massoc added, and no party will form an alliance with far-right National Rally. According to an S&P Global analysis, the global semiconductor industry consumed as much water in 2021 as the city of Hong Kong. Water consumption for chip fabs and data centers will rise as the demand for chips grows. The chip fabs stored the TCE underground, but tanks sometimes ruptured, leaking the chemical into the local groundwater and soil. Now, chip fabs must work with local governments to meet water management and waste disposal requirements. Several researchers are investigating ways to reduce and recycle water in chip manufacturing.

Katie TarasovChasing powerThere are more than 8,000 data centers globally, with the highest concentration in the U.S. And, thanks to AI, there will be far more by the end of the decade. Boston Consulting Group estimates demand for data centers will rise 15%-20% every year through 2030, when they're expected to comprise 16% of total U.S. power consumption. Tench said Vantage's data centers typically have the capacity to use upward of 64 megawatts of power, or as much power as tens of thousands of homes. And as we think about AI applications, those numbers can grow quite significantly beyond that into hundreds of megawatts," Tench said . Take activist hedge funds, which buy up a percentage of a company's stock (or an asset) and then use their weight to push for operational changes. Or there would be a fun, splashy war between the hedge fund and the C-suite. Of course, hedge funds are having a hard time coming up with a crew because the clients have changed too. For many undecided voters, President Biden’s decision to leave the race opened a new world of possibilities. Some felt liberated by their nagging concerns that Mr. Biden had grown too old for the job. Some were looking forward to hearing how Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Mr. Biden endorsed on Sunday, would make her case to the American people. For months, many voters have expressed disappointment with their options in November. The question now for some of them is whether a nominee like Ms. Harris — or some Democratic wild card — might feel like the choice they have been waiting for.
