His mother, Lori Ellinger, questions the autopsy’s findings and wants to know why paramedics decided to use an injectable sedative. “As long as he’s not lying face down, that would be great,” one of the medics says. Four minutes later, the medics discussed getting Ellinger repositioned, but they didn’t act immediately. Ellinger was unhandcuffed and placed on his back as medics began performing chest compressions, according to the report.

I went on Firenze's four-night cruise about two weeks after its maiden voyage. Carnival Firenze had a mini-golf course scattered around the open-air deck. Norwegian's newer ships, for example, have $10 mini-golf courses and VR arcades that cost $29 for an hour of play. Similarly, Royal Caribbean's new ultra-giant, ultra-popular Icon of the Seas has a $49-per-person ropes course that can be completed in less than a minute. Carnival Firenze also has a mini-golf and ropes course — but they're both free, albeit not as exciting or modern as the cruise line's competitors.

But over the last few years, cruise giants have added more irresistible pay-to-play amenities to their vessels, all while still luring travelers in with affordable base fares. CNN —Crew on board the world’s largest cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas, were called on to tackle a fire this week as the gigantic vessel was berthed in a port in Mexico. The Royal Caribbean spokesperson confirmed crew members controlled the blaze, explaining all crew are trained to handle such situations. Social media users on an Icon of the Seas Facebook group spoke of minor disruption to their day, but proceedings were quickly back to normal. The $2-billion Icon of the Seas made headlines when the vessel launched earlier this year, with its seven swimming pools – including a record-breaking 17,000-square-foot water park. In March, a fire broke out on a Carnival Cruise Lines ship, with footage captured by a passenger of the ship’s tail ablaze.

Nvidia had some strong moves in the days after its 10-for-1 stock split traded in the market on June 10. Tuesday brought weaker-than-expected May retail sales , which the stock market took in stride, perhaps on the view that softness helps the view that the Federal Reserve will indeed cut interest rates later this year. Ultimately, the economic readings this past week signal that while U.S. growth remains resilient, things are slowing, which is an ideal setup for stock market bulls. The Fed's favorite inflation gauge and the tail end of earning season will be drivers of the market in the week ahead.
