The search for a woman who fell from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise ship in the Bahamas was suspended Wednesday, a day after she went into the water, officials said. The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday afternoon that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force was suspending its search pending new developments and that it no longer needed the Coast Guard's assistance. The Coast Guard said it sent an HC-144 airplane and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to help. A storm system in the Atlantic could potentially strengthen into a tropical depression as it heads towards the Caribbean later this week, according to the National Hurricane Center — the latest storm in what is already an "above-normal" hurricane season. A tropical depression is a storm with maximum sustained winds of 38 mph, according to the National Weather Service. "I kept taking cruises of longer lengths — 30 days, then 45, then 80, and learned I liked long stretches at sea," Johnston told Business Insider. I took my kids to a family-centric, all-inclusive resort in Mexico this summer. My kids had fun, but I was the one who needed to be taken care of, and I loved it. There was only one option that made sense: An all-inclusive resort. The magic of an all-inclusive resort is that when your kids don't eat their steak or their $20 chicken nuggets, it doesn't make you want to cry inside. While I can't live at an all-inclusive resort or afford to hire a personal butler to take care of my needs 24/7, I am worth investing in.

For cruise ships, scoring an 85 out of 100 on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Vessel Sanitation Program review is considered a failure. The CDC has reported 10 bacterial and viral outbreaks on cruise ships since the start of 2024. The CDC checks cruise ships for details such as how frequently the pool's hair and lint strainer is disinfected.
