That could exacerbate the nation's existing public health challenges, such as declining childhood vaccination rates for several preventable diseases, some experts say. "I think we could reasonably predict that there would be a decline in vaccination rates among children, and perhaps vaccination overall." Prosecutors say Allen actually confessed over 60 times to the murders while in prison, to his wife, his mother, family members, the prison warden, the psychologist who treated him in prison, other prison employees and other inmates. The jury on Thursday heard recordings of seven prison phone calls Allen made to his wife and mother, according to WTHR. Monica Wala, the prison psychologist who treated Allen at Westville Correctional Facility, testified for the prosecution that he confessed to the crimes multiple times, once in great detail, according to WTHR. He also spoke about wanting to go back and change his actions and apologize to the families, Wala testified. He had a serious mental health history and had experienced both major depressive disorder and anxiety disorder, Wala testified during cross-examination.

Walmart will start to deliver prescriptions to customers' doorsteps. As CVS and Walgreens shutter hundreds of stores nationwide to shore up profits and investor sentiment, Walmart said Tuesday that it is offering a new option for customers: delivering prescriptions to their doorsteps. The prescription delivery service is another example of how Walmart is trying to outmatch competitors on convenience along with low prices. Still, it is unclear how much market share Walmart could win from CVS and Walgreens, both of which offer same-day, one-day and two-day prescription deliveries. Walmart's delivery service will be available for new prescriptions and refills, the company said.

Walmart’s pitch to costumers is simple – fill your prescription, plus get some groceries delivered to your door, all in one order. Prescription delivery was the number one most-requested service by its customers, the company said in a press release. The company has nearly 4,600 pharmacy locations across the United States. Seven years ago, the bodies of two teenage girls were discovered near a hiking trail outside the small Indiana town of Delphi. Allen worked at a CVS in Delphi and had processed photos for Libby’s family without charging them, her grandparents have said. Investigators found the images on Libby’s cellphone and released them days after the girls' bodies were discovered in a bid to identify a possible suspect. Allen, who was interviewed by authorities in 2017 and admitted being at the trail the day the teens vanished, was arrested in 2022. In a request for a search warrant in 2017, an FBI agent said the girls' bodies appeared to have been moved and staged.

Longtime CVS Health executive David Joyner has replaced Karen Lynch as CEO, as the company struggles to drive higher profits and stock performance, CVS announced Friday. CVS has faced challenges as higher medical costs weigh on its insurance unit, Aetna, and consumer spending drops at its retail pharmacies. It anticipates higher medical costs than previously expected, with a so-called medical benefit ratio of 95.2% in the quarter. CNBC reported last month that CVS’ board had engaged strategic advisors to weigh its options, including the potential of a breakup of its insurance and retail businesses. Lynch also stepped down from the company’s board of directors this week, the company said Friday.
