Paris CNN —French lawmakers said they had introduced a motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Michel Barnier on Monday, setting up a vote that could see the far right topple his government within days. However, that maneuver in turn grants lawmakers the opportunity table no-confidence motions against him – and lawmakers on the left, who have repeatedly vowed to bring down Barnier’s government, did just that. She added a warning to French President Emmanuel Macron, writing: “We have tabled a motion of no confidence. “We are going to support this no confidence vote because the French have had enough of being mistreated. They thought things would change with Barnier, but it’s worse,” Le Pen told reporters on Monday.

The single 13-station subway line was jammed with passengers eager to get a taste of the city’s new transport system. This archaeological site is located inside the Venizelou metro station in Thessaloniki. Deep underground, remains of the city’s busiest street in the 6th century were found. But it will likely take several more years for the metro to reach the city’s busy Macedonia Airport.

"But the bar for a further shift in expected interest rates in favor of the U.S. in the near term is quite high," he added. The practice of deep-sea mining involves using heavy machinery to remove minerals and metals — such as cobalt, nickel, copper and manganese — from the seabed, where they build up as potato-sized nodules.

A Wisconsin judge on Monday struck down portions of a 2011 law that stripped most government workers in the state of collective bargaining rights and set off fierce demonstrations. The ruling by Judge Jacob Frost of the Dane County Circuit Court is certain to be appealed. “Restoring union freedoms to Wisconsin workers will strengthen Wisconsin’s middle class, lift up the voices of workers and lead to better public services for our communities,” said Stephanie Bloomingdale, the president of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, in a statement. Republicans passed the law, known as Act 10, shortly after winning control of state government in the 2010 elections, arguing that limits on public sector unions were necessary to balance the budget and attract business investments. They advanced the legislation despite large-scale protests at the State Capitol in Madison and an attempt by Democratic lawmakers to scuttle the vote by fleeing to Illinois.

CNN —Elon Musk’s record-breaking pay package for serving as Tesla’s CEO was rejected by a Delaware court, despite being approved by Tesla shareholders at a June meeting. The pay package, now worth around $101 billion based on Tesla’s closing share price Monday, is made up of 303 million Tesla stock options. The package was worth around $56 billion at the time the judge threw out the package. “The large and talented group of defense firms got creative with the ratification argument, but their unprecedented theories go against multiple strains of settled law,” McCormick wrote in a scathing opinion. “There were undoubtedly a range of healthy amounts that the Board could have decided to pay Musk,” she wrote.
