The man, Yostin Andres Mosquera, was arrested early on Saturday in Bristol, the police said. The charges come after a grisly discovery early Thursday, when the police in Avon and Somerset responded to calls of a man with a suitcase acting strangely near the Clifton Suspension Bridge, a stone structure crossing the River Avon in a leafy area near Bristol. By the time the police arrived, the man had disappeared, but the suitcase remained. They each contained human remains, the police said.

London CNN —A man has been charged with two counts of murder following the discovery of human remains at a famous bridge in southwest England. Yostin Andres Mosquera, a 34-year-old Colombian national, was arrested in Bristol early Saturday and charged on Monday, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement. The remains were found in suitcases at Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol last week, as well as at Mosquera’s address in Shepherd’s Bush, a neighborhood in west London. CNN —British police have found human remains in a west London apartment which they believe are connected to body parts found earlier this week in another city, officers said Friday. Authorities are now on the hunt for a Colombian man thought to be linked to the case. Officers said their priority is to find Yostin Andres Mosquera, a 24-year-old Colombian national, naming him for the first time. They released a photo of Mosquera clad in a black Adidas baseball cap, black jeans, a black jacket, black trainers with thick white soles, with a black backpack. Kyle Clifford, 26, was found by officers in Enfield, north London, on Wednesday following an extensive manhunt, and arrested on Thursday in connection with the killing.

CNN —At least 19 bodies were discovered on Monday in an abandoned truck in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, near the border with Guatemala, according to the state’s attorney general. Five of the bodies had gunshot wounds and all were wearing dark clothing and tactical vests containing ammunition, authorities said. Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador attributed the deaths to cartel violence and said some of the victims were migrants from Guatemala.
