Feb 1 (Reuters) - U.S. first lady Jill Biden will attend this year's Grammy Awards as a presenter, the White House said on Wednesday. LONDON, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Music star Beyonce announced her first new tour in nearly seven years on Wednesday, in which she will take her latest album "Renaissance" on the road around Europe and North America. The "Renaissance World Tour" will kick off in Stockholm on May 10, travelling across the continent until the end of June. Beyonce released the chart-topping and critically-acclaimed "Renaissance", her seventh studio album, at the end of July. Beyonce's last studio tour was in 2016 in support of her album "Lemonade". The singer-songwriter faced online criticism last month after performing at the lavish opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai.
In an Instagram post, the superstar posted simply “RENAISSANCEㅤ ㅤWORLD TOUR 2023.” Her website shows tour dates from May to September. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the tour, but many are already bracing themselves for a Ticketmaster disaster, following the recent Swift ticket debacle. On the Ticketmaster site, a search for Beyoncé tickets led to a page that says there are no upcoming events. Ticketmaster did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether it would be selling tickets or if it can handle demand. In mid-November, Ticketmaster’s site overloaded when fans tried to purchase pre-sale tickets for just a handful of dates.
More than 50 million workers quit their jobs in 2022, according to federal data, breaking a record set the year prior and demonstrating the resilience of a hot labor market characterized by ample job opportunity. But while quitting a job "was the 2021 story, 2022 was the real year of the Great Resignation," said Julia Pollak, chief economist at ZipRecruiter. The trend of elevated quitting came to be known as the Great Resignation. Americans turned to the social media site TikTok to post "Quit-Toks," and to Reddit forums to share stories about quitting and resignation text messages to bosses. About 50.5 million people quit their jobs in 2022, beating out the 47.8 million in 2021, according to Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey data issued Wednesday.

As the founder of Rebag, a designer handbag resale site, I've kept a close eye on the resale value of sought-after luxury goods. That's well above other major designer names — like Chanel, for example, which boasts an average value retention of 87%. Birkins have an average value retention of 96%, while the Kelly averages 108%. For example, the Nigo Keepall Bandoulière bag has a 119% average value retention, while the Louis Vuitton x NBA Ball in Basket Bag has a 147% average value retention. Up 12 percentage points from 2021, the brand's average value retention is 87%, although several bags exceed 100%.
When Tioni Theus woke up, most mornings, the first thing she did was turn on music. Tioni’s most frequent social media posts were videos of herself singing along to music, smiling and mugging for the camera. But in recent years she had begun to gravitate toward gritty, emotional rappers and singers like Rod Wave, whose songs explore the painful underside of street life. (“Daddy gone and mama couldn’t save me/So hard times made me,” he raps on his song “Thug Life.”) Read MoreTioni, right, with her family. But as with many aspects of Tioni’s life, the stakes were higher than they should have been: Both investigators and some family members have suggested that she may have been a victim of human trafficking.
Turns out it’s the same sample, a sleight of ear designed to trigger warm nostalgia, and also maybe a little confusion. Even its video is optimized for recognition, with Santana doing the same stomp Beyoncé does in hers, in an almost identical outfit. Throughout 2022, that gambit has been deployed again and again — by pop singers and rappers, established stars and newbies. Here, old songs — hip-hop classics, pop novelties and more — are scrunched and stretched sometimes to the point of absurdity. These songs are concessions that say the quiet part out loud — everyone has always been borrowing voraciously, from everyone else, constantly.

However, authorities are considering the timing overlap and recent attacks on similar events nationwide as they proceed with their investigation. Regardless of whether investigators connect the two events, Sandhills Pride Director Lauren Mathers said repeated efforts to shut down what was billed as a family friendly drag performance have left the county’s LGBTQ community feeling vulnerable. The FBI posted a notice seeking information related to the North Carolina investigation, and Gov.
