Counterfeiting has ballooned into a massive problem for Crye, costing it millions of dollars a year, said Jonathan Antone, the company's general counsel. By 2016, sellers were speaking out about Amazon's growing counterfeit problem, telling CNBC of the company's effort to openly court Chinese manufacturers. "There's a lot more space on that digital shelf for potential counterfeit products," he added. Agents seized "multiple tractor trailer loads" of counterfeit MultiCam products, estimated to be worth $8 million, according to court documents. American Airlines posted a third-quarter loss but raised its profit forecast for the year as CEO Robert Isom said the company's sales strategy shift earlier this year is paying off. The carrier said it expects to earn between 25 cents and 50 cents a share on an adjusted basis for the fourth quarter, above the 29 cents analysts polled by LSEG expected. For the full year, the airline expects to earn as much as an adjusted $1.60 a share, ahead of an earlier American forecast for no more than $1.30 a share. American in May fired its chief commercial officer after a sales strategy that aimed to drive direct bookings backfired and quickly reverted much of its sales model. For the fourth quarter, American said its unit revenue will likely drop between 1% to 3% compared with last year, with capacity up as much as 3% year over year.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday told investors that resources like fossil fuels will remain important and enable technological innovations, even as investments in renewable energy continue to grow. While the tech megacaps are investing heavily in nuclear energy, Cramer suggested that power won't play a huge role in the data center for at least a decade. He also reviewed GE Vernova 's recent quarter, saying the company's strength came from electrification and natural gas, not wind or nuclear power. But Cramer also stressed that the conversation around fossil fuels extends beyond the automotive industry. "The truth is, fossil fuels are essential for a lot more than vehicles, like it or not."
