Late Tuesday, Deutsche Bank listed Dover as a short-term sell idea, suggesting the company will report underwhelming results that may pressure shares later this month. CNN —High-scoring matches, unwanted records and an unlikely winning run – Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League round seemed to have it all. Manchester City equals ‘unbeaten’ recordManchester City has set a number of records while commanding the English Premier League in recent seasons, but it appears its dominance also stretches to the Champions League. The Scottish side was unbeaten this season heading into the game, having also won its first Champions League match 5-1 last month. While City and Dortmund won easily on Tuesday, Barcelona also thrashed Young Boys 5-0 and Internazionale beat Red Star Belgrade 4-0. The French side continued its perfect start to the new Champions League season with a 4-0 win against Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday.

The central clash in the pivotal Senate race in Montana — and the fight for control of the Senate itself — was on full display Monday night as Democratic Sen. Jon Tester and Republican Tim Sheehy faced off in a heated debate. Like other vulnerable Senate Democrats, Tester tried to make it personal — touting his bipartisan bona fides, highlighting his own connections to his red-leaning state and suggesting his opponent cannot be trusted. Montana is the party’s next top target, with Tester running for re-election in a state Trump won by 16 points in 2020. James Richmond, 50, an IT consultant and voter in Helena, pointed to those comments in explaining why he plans to support Sheehy, despite supporting Tester’s work for veterans. An AARP poll conducted in late August found Sheehy leading Tester by 6 points, 55% to 49%.

We are buying 200 shares of Coterra Energy at roughly $24.35. Following the trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 3,300 shares of CTRA, increasing its weighting to 2.34% from 2.2%. In Monday's edition of the Homestretch , we said we were debating adding to our position in Coterra Energy , a disciplined driller that balances oil and natural gas production based on commodity prices. As of Monday's close, Coterra shares were only $1.33 off their 52-week low on Sept.10. We haven't been fans of energy stocks all year, but we always say we've kept Coterra in the portfolio to hedge against geopolitical risk.

If you like your European midweek football this is the week for you, with 54 Champions League, Europa League and Conference League matches being crammed into three nights. The Champions League kicked things off with some of the competition’s favourites beginning to bare their teeth. It was also, incredibly, their 31st defeat from 37 Champions League group stage away games. Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and a first Champions League goal for James McAtee saw City get their first win of this year’s competition. They lost a number of key players in the summer and can’t even play Champions League games at their own home, with the 15,000 capacity Stade Francis-Le Ble not up to Champions League standards (they’re hosting matches at Guingamp’s Stade du Roudourou instead).
