In a sign of the concern that Russia’s northeastern offensive is causing in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine canceled his participation in all international events for the coming days, including a visit on Friday to Spain where he was expected to sign a security agreement. Civilians continued to flee areas of northeastern Ukraine under heavy shelling by Russian forces, the Ukrainian officials said, warning that their troops had to contain relentless assaults and that the situation on the ground could change fast. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, told Ukrainian television on Tuesday that conditions in the area under attack were moving “toward stabilization,” with additional Ukrainian units being rushed in to repel Russian advances. The substantial rise in Nvidia's share price has, however, has raised questions about whether those not already invested should buy the stock now, or wait to see if its price drops. Buy Nvidia Trent Masters, portfolio manager at the Sydney-based Alphinity Investment Management, has a buy recommendation on Nvidia, even as he acknowledges that it is "hard to buy a stock that has already gone up a lot." Acknowledging that Nvidia is a "great company," that is effectively operating a "monopoly" in the AI chipmaker segment, he has been reducing his holdings in the stock "Nvidia is a company that ran too far too fast. For instance, he is looking at an annualized revenue growth rate of near 50% over the next five years to justify the stock price. Despite reducing his position in the stock, Coons remains cautiously optimistic on Nvidia.

Open to allIt's unclear why the NRF rejected Shein's membership application, but according to one of the people familiar, someone with sway is strongly against the company's admittance. The NRF's board has a leadership team and an executive committee. An NRF membership application form that can be found online states: "Companies principally engaged in retailing are eligible for membership in the Federation." Two of the board members said they weren't aware of any instances where the NRF denied a retailer membership. "I don't think they are in the business of turning anyone down," one of the board members told CNBC.

CNN —At least 37 people have been killed, and more than a dozen injured on the Indonesian island of Sumatra after heavy rains triggered flash flooding and a cold lava flow from an active volcano, search and rescue officials said on Sunday. Cold lava, also known as lahar, is a mixture of volcanic debris such as ash, sand and pebbles that flows down a volcano’s slopes during wet weather. Images shared by Indonesia’s disaster response agency showed thick mud and ash partially covering roads and mountainside villages near the foot of Mount Marapi, an active volcano in western Sumatra. As is common in China, the apartment complex in Tianjin sold the units before they were completed. Their concerns are just one example of the wider challenges that persist in pockets of China's property sector. Following early efforts to recoup their money or to garner information about their property purchases, a few buyers said police visited their homes, sometimes in the middle of the night. "I feel like I've been tricked this whole time," one buyer said in Mandarin, translated by CNBC. In all, Nomura estimated late last year that there are around 20 million unconstructed and delayed pre-sold homes in China.
